Camping Basement DOor

See. But how often does body blocking actually keep you from hooking someone. I am fine with someone camping in the basement, but the survivors should have a chance to save someone.
I have already stated a couple of cases where hook blocking effectively prevents killers from hooking people. Sadly, I have no video proof of that, and you'll have to trust me. But hey, you don't have video proof either, and I'm taking what you're saying at face value.
How often? 5 or 6 games total, in a lot of hours of gameplay. How often do you find brainless killers blocking the staircases for no reason?

It's not bannable, the killer isnt holding the game hostage, they are just killing a survivor.
I believe it is, it is preventing the survivors from doing their job, therefore holding the game hostage.
It's for a purpose.
You are killing someone down there in the basement.
It's like extended camping thus not bannable.Except that facecamping was bannable and they changed the game to allow survivors to unhook from all sides. And that isnt camping, its holding the game hostage to me
Facecamping wasn't bannable lol.
Look at all the developer streams the developer stating it is not. It's a strategy, get over it.
"its strategy" wow how much iq did you need to come up with that "strategy" lmao
How much IQ do you need to pallet loop, to use decisive strike or adrenaline?
That's not a argument, you are just entitled to winning.
I am a killer main bud, when i play survivor i dont use decisive, i dont find it useful, but i do like adrenaline. A win to me as killer is a 4k, but im not going to block survivors at the stairs to get it

I have actually never had a killer do this in a match lol, but i wouldnt like it if it did.

Only to you it means holding the game hostage.
To the rest of the people, the killer is just securing the kill and avoiding anyone to save the survivor that is hooked on the basement, the game is not hostage, the hooked survivor will end the game by dying on the hook, while the other 3 can just do the gens and end the game by exiting through gate/hatch----So no one is forced to DC in order to leave the game.
You should think about it, maybe you are wrong or maybe the rest of the world is wrong.

You clearly are not the smartest person.
Decisive strike is the most overpowered and useful perk of the entire game.
Your survival chances are raised by ~33% just running this perk lol.But this isn't the topic.
If the killer managed to hook someone in the basement, which is a very difficult task, because on red ranks, people don't die near the basement or just block the entrance with a bunch of survivors when trying to hook survivors there, THEN the killer should be able to defend their ######### earned kill.
That's not holding the game hostage, it's just securing a kill.(I don't enjoy this behaviour and would like to see it getting patched, but HOWVER and thats my point, it is not bannable)

I consider myself to be a very bright person, My survivor loadout is typically SB,SC,Adrenaline, and We'll make it. I see much more value in we'll make it than decisive. Also, are you okay? seems like some red rank survivors hurt you lol. It is not that hard to hook someone in the basement lol. Im a rank 1 huntress and I actively avoid camping and tunneling. Im glad you agree that it shouldn't be a thing, but If you read my statements with other people, i said it is not holding the game hostage i just didnt have another term to use, and that i just think it should be bannable. The most overpowered perk in the game is Sprint Burst btw. Although it is kind of opinion based, but i dont really feel comfortable with you saying i have a low intelligence when Im just trying to have a debate. Thanks.

as I said "Im pretty sure ive seen a stream where a dev said a killer who repeatedly facecamps (pre unhook change) could be banned."
I could be wrong, but i believe this to be true.

Agreed, blocking the stairway and hitting the survivors is intended, not blocking the survivors from unhooking the person, I do believe that is holding the game hostage. (or something like that)
bodyblocking away from unhooking in the basement is indeed an intended feature, the devs have been pretty clear that its not holding hostage, pls get your facts straight.
Clearly there is a timer runing when the survivor is on the hook
Clearly you don't understand the timer is for the survivors to unhook the survivor on the hook, not for the killer to block the stairs.
As long as there is a timer runing and the survivor doesnt need to DC in order to leave the game, then it is NOT holding the game hostage

You are not entitled to an unhook just for existing. You are entitled to the ability to unhook. That is my stance on the argument. The killer can do what they will to prevent you if they wish, but i believe there should at least be a chance as i stated a basement camping leatherface is okay with me, i have a chance to make him run into something/miss/etc and get the save.

Again, you don't seem to have any knowledge about this game.
On rank 1 against viable survivors, exactly this happens.Survivors not being morons can easily just do gens and win with 3 people.

It's a bad strategy.i feel like a scenario where even 3 gens get done in that situation is unlikely
It takes 80 seconds for the remaining survivors to get 3 gens done.
It takes 120 seconds for the basement survivor to dieFact is that they can even do a 4th one within 33.33 seconds, i.e. only 80+33 seconds to get 4 gens done, assuming they know where the gens are already.
Basically, if the survivors are clever enough not to throw themselves at the afk killer, then the killer immediately hands over the game to the other 3 survivor once he commits to a 2 minute camp.
In reality though survivors are stupid and dont understand that they just have to hold M1. Instead they throw themselves at the camping killer even though they know very well that they camp.
Call it whatever you want, stupidity, entitlement, over altruism or whatever. Fact is that its the survivors decision to lose in such a scenario1
