Keys are so common in chests...
I just had two consecutive matches as killer where the survivors escaped through hatch in my face with a key when no one brought one or plunderers instinct.
Then i went into a survivor match searched a chest and immediately got a skeleton key...
Jesus christ i cant wait for keys to get nerfed, recent experiences just show me that they are super common in chests.

Need to pop that one first or 3 gen strat takes play.
Bill (random) finds key, refuses to save or heal or do a gen... Even though there are 4 survivors and we saved him from the tunnel.
Finally pop the gen and work on a brand new gen last one. Oh the hope!!!
However I have empathy and see bill doing nothing (he has his golden ticket) person gets hooked, me and my friend pop the last gen, bill jumps in hatch. We refuse to leave a survivor behind. Killer securing his kill gets a 1 kill and 1 bleed out (petty move but I get it) I tbag bill who is still spectating.
Just get rid of keys and moris all together honestly

Agreed. They buffed the rarity of items found in chests a while back but finding keys is too common now. Maybe it won't matter when there is finally a key rework but I wish they would modify the chances of finding keys specifically to be lower.

I get the aggravation, but that said it also proves to me why keys are important given the concept of the game. The characters aren’t supposed to know each other before game start, so in essence one player leaving all of the others to die because he found a key sounds more “true” and believable than everybody taking protection hits to keep one person off of a hook.

Is there a bug with the amount of keys in chests lately? It seems every other game 2 people are escaping via keys. I was going to make a thread about the huge uptick in keys from the last few weeks and saw this one.

Yes, typically what happens is after a survivor is killed the rest just stop trying to do gens and escape with key. Lots of fun.
Not only do we not have the key nerf yet but they introduced this insane bug on top of it.

Yeah, you're right but that's a fine line. Because also following that logic, I wouldn't have saved him, I don't know him, he has a crazed killer with a knife next to him. I'm just curious how keys will change, and their add-ons.

the chest are bugged. you get mostly rare+ items and out of 3 chest there is always a key.

this is a new thing where keys are insanely common. that being said i WILL use them if i get one in a chest. i play solo queue and after having a self caring claudette in the corner, nancy and dwights trying to find narnia in the lockers, and neas urban evasion-ing around the map as teammates i WILL be using it if the 4 gens are done. if they somehow find the hatch and escape while it's open that is not my problem
