Why was Demo's nerf reverted but not The Twins?
I know Demo is a beloved Killer compared to the gruesome twosome but it seems like Twins are butchered now with no real reason why.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the only nerf that The Twins received a 2 second increase on Victor's pounce attack cooldown?
Also, 2 add-on buffs and a QoL fix?

Demo is licensed and draws in more customers than the twins.

I'd say that because the twins while not the strongest if played correctly can be fairly strong where as demo no matter how you played him he'd never do better then mid tier, also he needed buffs not nerfs or "changes". Twins aren't weak you just can play them normally to get good effect out of them.

Ah yes. An add on that exposes you when you kick an Idle Victor (not post pounce).
Gee. Are you really going to keep kicking Victor when you get exposed the first time? Keep in mind this is their rarest add on.
Also some Undetectable add on. Which 3-4 seconds of it is waking from Charlotte's idle state and not moving. Whoopie.
Don't let minor add-on changes distract from a very hard nerf that involves eating a 5 second stun for using your power successfully.

I believe you’re right. I don’t really understand the nerf myself. I think I’d much rather face a slugging twins player then a twins player who just camps with Victor. I find it really odd that they decided to nerf their slug potential without so much as touching their ability to camp with Victor. Kinda feels like they’re addressing the wrong aspect of their kit.

the addon buffs are VERY meh (the undetectable is nice but its nothing compared to forest stew/scarf + pounce charge). exposed addon is still situational and bad. you don't want victor idle much, nor getting kicked,
that QOL fix has literally been in the game for 2 months now and they've lied for some reason by telling everybody it's new. possibly because they knew nobody would actually know that because 5 people play twins.
that pounce attack cooldown increase completely misses the mark and purely just makes them more unfun to play**. does nothing to discourage slugging (which cannot be achieved with flat nerfs). it just discourages playing twins in the first place.

Oh, I do. It's just that my opponents either pair up or hop in lockers most of the time. Having a slightly larger window to kick Victor doesn't seem like too big a deal.

Despite the few people that play them they probably have a very high kill rate. I used to be an Oni main with 300h but I have a higher kill rate with the Twins despite playing them with less time.

It's the time lost, doing nothing, while stunned. It's like Oni losing his power and can't move for 5 seconds after he slugs someone.

Victor moves at 150% speed and has an unlimited window to operate in. And extra 2 seconds means nothing.

Victor can still go on a slugging spree when he hits.
The 5 second window only comes in when he misses.

Those 2 seconds are massive. Even ignoring the just flat extra wasted time, those 2 seconds essentially kills his chain slug potential with how wide his kick window is. This is not a minor nerf whatsoever.

Yeah, I don't get the change. Twins is exclusively strong if you play a very boring playstyle that most killers don't want to commit too. I've played against 6 Twins since the PTB. Hopefully a rework is on the cards as they're the worst designed killer in maybe all of dbd history.

Twins needed something else. Kicking victor is such a pointless thing to do with such a short cooldown as punishment. They should have given 20 seconds downtime to victor respawning if you kick him.

you said it right there. "chain slug potential". chain slugging at 150% movespeed while being able to be in another location camping a hook or even another body is exactly why that was changed. Pick someone the hell up.

Which is exactly why it didn't need to be changed. It is her only viable play style that also already has tons of counter play available.
If you also saw my other post I already proposed a change for removing her hook camping which is her only real issue.

Its a tough situation, because if you kill Victor, even with an instant respawn, the killer has gained absolutely nothing in all the time Victor was active.
And having him immediately show up again is very annoying.

Her short cooldown to throw Victor again is deceiving. You may think it looks short but he also lost 3 seconds on each lunge, 1ish seconds on kick, another second of throwing him again and then even at high move speed the next 10+ seconds to run Victor all the way back to where he was before. Charlotte wants to pick someone up? Now she has to waste more time swapping and then walking all the way over there.
My point is there is a lot of wasted time with their mechanic to where Victor has to be extremely efficient to make up for all the really bad time efficiency in the rest of their kit.

Then make it harder to hit with the lunge because he is a bloody magnet right now. On the rare event you do make him miss by using the terrain or somehow managing to avoid the hitbox, he shows up again before you can heal / be healed.

real talk though; i do wish that the twins did get a bit of a touch up. they deserve it. their concept is really cool and i don't see too many twins in matches. :(

All five of us are upset, but I'm one of the few who doesn't use slugging as a strategy in my matches. It only sucks for me because I'm bad at aiming and it's nice to be able to down one and get a hit on another to at least get them injured, but it's not the worst. I hope they revert it but we aren't like the demo mains, I can't speak for all twins mains but I cry when my cat runs out of treats so yelling at them to change it back would make me sob ;w;

His hit box is fine, you just need to understand how to counter him. One way is using pallets. He's forced to run all the way around or back up quite a bit to go over and even if he does do that you have time to move on, kick him after he jumps, or crouch next to the pallet and he'll fly over you.
He's also hard countered by anti-slug perks and healing perks/medkits.

Can't stand at a pallet all game. I have the twins.. victor catches up before survivors reach pallets.

Pallets are quite numerous and you can actually do the same thing at windows.
Even if he does down you, like I said, healing perks/medkits, and anti-slug perks mean that many times you'll get picked up before you even get hooked so the down is irrelevant.
You can stand at a pallet all game when 3 other people are sitting on gens. You should always have a pallet or window in close sight.

No, its a successful hit that triggers the 5 second cooldown.
Normal misses are (roughly) 2.5 secs and can be modified with add-ons. (Stale Biscuit)
If the 5 sec cooldown was on misses you might as well delete the Killer now

Their wording might have mislead me then. Either that, or I’ve read it wrong.
The changes said that Victor’s failed pounce cooldown is 5 seconds. I thought that meant if he missed.

Are people really asking Twins to be M1 killer longer? As Blueberry stated, the cooldown of victor is deceptively longer than what it appears to be and victor does have counter-play which Blueberry explains for how victor cannot break pallets nor force window to block because your not in a chase according to the game. This again developer needs to address their emblem system for survivor within boldness category. Kicking victor should give survivor like 1/10 of iri boldness emblem or something.
Victor still needs to be able to down people at pallets and windows, otherwise the killer would have no counter-play to survivor's gameplay which is what a lot of M1 killers suffer from. The twins need to slug vs good players because asking a killer to not slug is asking them to do 9-12 hooks and Twins have a lot of time inefficiency in their gameplay, so they cut the hook count short to about 6 hooks as gens do not really allow much more than that.
Bare in mind, you can 12 hooks with twins, but you need to be facing some chiller survivors.
They already address this. Borrow time now works globally so no more Victor slugs at hooks.

I'm assuming it's a bug also by the way it's worded. I guess for those times that victor zips right past you and becomes unpuntable just as you get up to him, and only for those times.

Honestly Twins is the only killer in the game that makes me want to just disconnect. I find them awful to play as, and against.
So if they nerfed them into the ground or even removed them from the game entirely I honestly would not care.
The only reason I advocate on behalf of twins is because I know some people do play as them; but from a more selfish point of view I secretly want them to be nerfed even more. If that makes any sense to anyone haha.
Don't confuse that with what I think should happen though.

The general response from everyone is: "Well I like demo and no one likes Twins so who cares?".
I like Twins :( But also, what are people suggesting? We allow unappetizing killers to be nerfed to the ground just because of personal preference?
I just wish people would have consistency, particularly since the Demo "nerfs" were barely nerfs at all if you calculated how little Rat Liver actually does. People lost their minds. Meanwhile Twins is getting slapped with a debilitating nerf and people just say "lul she sucked anyways".

You literally stand still for 5 second after you hit a ponce, you get punished because you did well, and that destroy they're snowball potential, like literally no other snowball killer have as much condition as them

No power for 20 second seems so awful, like really awful, if you kick Viktor and your far away you're safe for so much again pretty pointless as a nerf

Their snowball potential is almost completely unnaffected. Either the survivors had paired up and you were going to get kicked anyway, or... you spend 2 extra seconds doing nothing as a killer that moves as 6.0m/s?
