New update = Rank destroyer
Any other survivor having a hard time since the latest update. I was consistently a rank 6-7 but now I have been demoted to 10-11 getting destroyed by ranks 14-17. Like the whole team gets wiped out. They seem to always cater to the killers (which I think are already too overpowered with the one hit downs) Looking at you Michael. And go around nerfing perks that don't need it. How about fix the hit box glitch and the pallets!! How about a skill check if your downed and fall off something, hit the skill check and land on your feet?? how about fixing the ranking system which I think needs it. If I'm the last survivor never been hooked saving everybody, get caught and I lose a rank. I have never raged so hard as I have this past couple weeks at this game. I would escape on average 50% - 70% of the matches now I'm luck to even escape 1/4 of them. The killers are the only ones having any fun massacring survivor after survivor. I know I'm not the best player and need to work on my looping but this is ridiculous.

Theres a lot to unpack here,
1) One hit downs come with some condition to them to make them work
1b) Michael is probably the worst killer to use as an example, Bubba is way worse
2) The only perk they nerfed recently (that I can think of) was DS, which has the same core functionality but is less exploitable
3) They partially fixed the pallet bug, but alas they didn't get the whole issue, they're working on it
4) Falling while dying seems like it would be actually worse for your health, so that sounds a little silly, and would be useless on certain maps that don't have a lot of elevation changes.
5) Fixing matchmaking is also a Work In Progress with their fancy MMR system, hopefully we'll know more about that soon.
6) If you are last alive, never been hooked and saving everyone and still losing rank you either need to last longer in chase or work on more generators. So you get those Evader and Lightbringer emblems up. (Since you should have good Altruism and Unbroken Emblems)
7) Sometimes you just hit an unlucky streak. Bad teammates, better killers, bad RNG, bugs... It happens to all of us. Improvise, Adapt, Overcome.

To reiterate what others were saying. With rank reset too, you’re going up against killers that may be higher or at your actual rank. Usually at beginning of rank reset as killer, i tend to get even matched survivors. As survivor on the other hand, rank reset especially during the week, tends to mean I also get similarly skilled killers OR I pipped beyond by skill because of weekend bad mm giving me baby killers and I eventually even out to where I should be.... then matchmaking makes me up in rank quickly.
