Why is dead hard in place still a thing?
Really, I don't get why this isn't addressed.

It's hardly an issue though is it? The think that people don't like about DH is the fact that it gives survivors distance in chase. Using DH in place buys the survivor an extra 1 or 2 seconds in chase.

Its fine if used to dodge a hit since it doesn't really do anything and rewards skillful gameplay from the survivor, which is healthy gameplay.
For distance? Oh yeah that needs to be removed, no counterplay available for the killer, rewards greed and making mistakes as it wastes more time for the killer as the survivor gets another pallet/window and it doesn't take skill to just press E when the killer is running at you.

It looks incredibly stupid that the survivor is standing still yet not being damaged. There is no skill in pressing E while standing still next to a wall or pallet.

Dude, they're only buying themselves an extra second in chase, just hit them after they use DH, you're making a mountain out of a molehill.
