In what scenarios is teaming with the killer bannable?
I had a match awhile ago, where we were 2 left and the other one purposely didn't heal me or do gens and waited near the hatch for 5 minutes so I can die and he can escape. The killer realized what's going on, and didn't kill me and I showed him the hatch, where he found the last person and killed him, while letting me live.
Now I know that may seem harsh and bad for me to do, but that person wasn't being very friendly as well, like hiding exactly near the hatch and not helping your teammate on purpose so they can die and you can escape, isn't quite sportsmanlike indeed. I don't think everyone will agree that this is a good excuse to show the killer their location, as that is quite indeed working with the killer, but there's a reason why the killer did that, you know. He clarified that he realized what was going on and wanted to punish the last survivor for screwing up their teammate like that.
Now of course, there's a discrepancy between being a bad teammate and actually working with the killer, I realize that. But in the case a report reaches the devs, what are the chances they take the whole picture into account when making a decision in whether to ban or not, and can I expect to get banned for that? Because if you ask me, I feel the majority of people playing survivor who get such teammates would understand my frustration.

All of them.

Don't worry about being banned.
That's an iffy scenario and screwing over your own team is often part of the game, especially when they're screwing you. The only way you're going to get in trouble for working with the killer is if you're doing things like body-blocking for him, cooperating with him the whole game, on comms, etc. No one gets banned over a sandbag. "Working with the killer" means griefing, if you'd planned on ruining that guy's game the whole time, you'd be guilty. Letting him die so you can escape is just choices being made.
It's common for opponents to threaten bans after every game. Reports don't seem to do anything and even if they did, they wouldn't over minor things.
Next time you want to let the killer go for your teammate, you could just lead them there in chase like everyone else.
