My theory about Iron Will

Iron Will is a perk that annoys killers quite a lot, since it basically acts as a portable sound bug. A highly suggested fix for this would be to make it replace your injured noises with regular breathing at tier 3, which i agree with, but I think there’s a reason they haven’t done that.
I don’t know a lot about code so this is mostly a theory, but I think the reason this fix hasn’t been implemented is perk tiers. If I had to guess, I would guess that iron will is coded with a modifier to the volume of the survivors’ injured noises, so that the different tiers can easily be differentiated just by adjusting the numbers. The issue with this is that at tier 3 the survivors just make no noise whatsoever. I have two proposed fixes for this:
- make iron will 100% across all perk tiers so that it can be coded to replace injured noises with breathing, and give it a relatively useless secondary function like a bp bonus to justify the perk having tiers.
Or, and i don’t know coding so this could be really difficult to implement,
- create a general line of code (?not super sure what to call it) for all survivors. Basically what it would do is replace any survivor’s injured moans with normal breathing when the game detects that the volume of the survivor’s moaning is at or below 0%. This would not only account for iron will, but also off the record, essentially killing two birds with one stone. Since only a few perks and addons adjust the volume of survivor moans, this function could be coded to only run during a match if one of the perks or addons that adjust survivor moans is in play. The purpose of that would be to make the performance of the game better.
I could elaborate more, but I think you get the idea. Thoughts?

So, you know that breathing being mute is a bug right? It's not a suggestion from the community but a beg for the Devs to fix it.
