Do all bubba killers use bbq or...

So i absolutely adore bubba, he really has that innocent look about him, but every single time I've come across him literally had bbq on without fail πŸ˜‚

Is there any one who runs him that doesn't use that perk? Or is that just his natural power as the character? And how do I counter that as a survivor? Seems if I'm being a sneaky locker rat (not all the time) he knows where I am still. I'd like to think that it's just a coincidence of some what or I'm just having one of those trash survivor days as we all have sometimesπŸ˜‚

In terms of countering it, here are a few ways off the top of my head:

-Distortion: works 3 times, hides your aura.

-Lockers: Make sure you're in the locker before he actually hooks the survivor and count to 5 after the hook before leaving. 4 seconds of aura reveal and 1 to be safe. It's kept me safe many times.

-Hide behind a gen: not the most foolproof but crouch behind a gen to camouflage your aura.

-Off The Record: works for 80 seconds after you've been unhooked, hides your aura.

-Be within range: if you're within 40m your aura isn't revealed.

I honestly don't care if the killer has BBQ or not. I just pay attention to the TR to get a rough idea of whether or not I might get chased by a killer who isn't camping my teammate and is in fact spreading out hooks.

Aww thankyou guys for the advice here.. appreciate it πŸ™‚ I always get stuck on it as I've never run it as playing a killer, so I had no idea what sort of perk it would be. I've heard mixed emotions of how survivors think of it some to be cool with it (like myself) and others who absolutely hate it, couple I've heard in a group chat saying it's cheating πŸ˜‚ will put that down to never being prepared for the chases which obviously is one thing you always prepare yourself with at the start of every match. Was very confused when I hid in a locker how he knew I was in there πŸ˜‚ I'm guessing that was either a coincidence or I didn't get inside it on time.

Thankyou all once again for the explanation of how the perks run 😊

Not getting in the locker in time is the usual culprit.

If the killer is facing the hook towards you, you need to have finished the animation of entering the locker before the survivors is on the hook.

If you're lucky and the hook is facing the other way, then the killer will be in animation lock for a good second or so giving you a bt more leeway to play with.

Once the circle 'instinct' effect that shows you where they were hooked has vanished, you're safe.

For a lot of players he is the first dlc they get because bbq and chilli is a great perk for newbies to be able to get straight back into chasing instead of searching and gens popping.

Most of them either are newer or he was their first main and they kept playing him because they did well with him and kept his best perk on.

    1 it's his perk

2 if he's running it he's probably not camping so I dont see the issue

3 maybe he saw you as you were entering the locker because your aura dosent dissapeared until you finish the entering animation

Another thing you can do is run Kindred. You'll know where he's headed after the hook. If he beelines for a survivor you know he has bbq.

Well, most people here have already said what had to be said, but if I may give an extra piece of advice:

On 5 different occasions, BBQ appeared on the Shrine of Secrets, so you should expect it on pretty much every single killer. Make sure to counter it, no matter if the killer is Bubba or someone else.

Are you checking what the killer runs after matches? I find that helpful. There are quite a few more aura or tracking perks than bbq.

Everyone uses BBQ. The only people who dont use BBQ are the ones who dont have it unlocked. Bubba has it unlocked from level 1. Therfore all bubbas use BBQ

I wouldn't say it's necessarily that good a perk, but it can be if survivors don't bother to play around the fact that it's likely to be on. I usually have it on for BP more than the tracking, same with WGLF and it's positive.

Ngl, all the gens in the middle of nowhere are getting a bit much now, though you make a good point. :P

BBQ is a relaxing perk to run that rewards you more bloodpoints. It's a must-run if you really need bloodpoints, and it ain't bad either!
