So there are "no frame drops on next gen consoles"?
Good day. I know, this is the second Thread about this Topic but in the last one, literally everyone said "i have no frame drops." or"frame drops are fixed" or something like that, which isnt true at all.
I dont want to say everyone experieced or still experience this issue but for me its very often a thing and to prove that i made a short clip with the Problem, so you can see what i mean:
This Problem started to happen after the Lightning Improvements Patch not that long ago. There was a thread with some Players, which got that too but they said it got fixed whatsoever....Well not for me.
It only happens if im close to the finished gen and as you can see, the feame drops dissapear if i go away some meters.
If you know something about that problem or of you got the same Problem on your next gen Console, please let us know.
Thank you.

Just gonna be real with you, Chief. I don't see it. I have them on PC and I can't even see where I'm going because my game just freezes for like 2 seconds but that just seems like a slight slowdown but that's also part of console.

I got a question about next gen if I was to upgrade would I have to start over? Meaning Xbox One to the next gen Xbox is that at least cross progression?

If you bought the game through the store (not a physical disc) then most progress should carry over, yes.

Y'all might say that this looks like 60 fps. Look closer. I've got an eye for these types of things because I live it on the PS4 port, but it doesn't take an analyst to see the frame rate drops. They can be quite subtle at times, but you are able to see them.

the only thing that you will have to do again is the achievements/trophies everything else should carry over.

I have Xbox Series X and my DBD works fine, 60 FPS without any kind of problem.

This might look like a minor problem for you in the video, because thumb stick movement is so slow to show the frame drops, but ifyou are in a chase with limited fov as killerand someone is trying to 360 you, you have a problem.
I rly dont know why some people here cant see the frame drops. Its stuttering like hell near finished gens.
I dont have frame drops as Survivor, only as Killer whatsoever. No idea why that is.

Ps5 and xb series should be 120 if I'm not wrong

I think i can kinda see it,but it's not too bad.
Would love if the devs fix the FPS drops on last gen consoles and lower end PCs first considering how BAD those are there.

Thats....thats not bad at all
On old gen we are stuttering, getting fps drops at random, sloppy butcher is giving us pauses again, getting hit sometimes pauses, and hell hex activations still drop fps, you literally went from 60 fps to like 50

It is bad. It is even worse for a competetive Game like DBD, where fps and reaction time means winning or losing the Match.
You wouldnt have a very noticeable difference between 60 and 50 on an Variable Frame Rate (guess its called vrr and on pc its called g-sync) Monitor/TV, because Hz and frames will be synced by the Display, so even if it drops like 10 fps you would not notice it.
So this means its gotta be more than 10 fps. It looks more like 40-45 fps and compared to a PC Player in DBD, which can use 120 hz/fps, you are pretty much screwed in a Crossplay Title.
it is quite paradoxical, because i never faced this problem as Survivor and Survivors (cpt obvious, i know) play in 3rd person view, which means way more fov and more objects and textures to handle for the gpu and cpu.

You should see last gen console (PS4,Xbox,Switch) then.
We get frame Drops like these AND screen freezes ALL the time.
The FPS drop OP showed is absolutely nothing in comparison

I would rather want the Game to look worse but have stable fps in every Situation. This would be great.

Yep :]

You should try ark then 😂... Uhm the Thing is the next gen consoles have more then enough power to grt smooth 60 fps in 4k in every Situation, because the fps Drops only occur as Killer and Survivor i more of a Challenge to handle for the Hardware because of the limited field of view as Killer.
It has to be a bug or something like that. Im 100% sure, this can be fixed.

I've played on PS4 for 2 years and it was absolutely miserable. Switched to PS5 and it's still bad. Obviously we are going to complain.

How is it bad on PS5?
I thought the FPS were really smooth there for the most part.
2 -
I guess "for the most part" means, it runs smooth if nothing happens on your screen.

For the most part, the PS5 runs DBD at 60 and it feels butter smooth, but unfortunately we still have drops from things like Bloodlust and Dead Hard outta nowhere.
I wouldn't say it's NEARLY as common as old gens but when you're paying $500 for a new console & promised optimization from the devs, you're bound to feel a bit ripped off.

You STILL have those screen freezes from Dead Hard and Bloodlust on the PS5??
Unbelievable 😦

You're telling me man🤦♀️and here I thought the torture would end..

Maybe your Hardware is too old and needs to be upgraded

The only trouble in find playing on my ps5 is that sometimes your character will move back and forth like they are glitching lasts for a few seconds. only found this as Freddy though.

This sounds like connection issues. You should try using LAN Cable instead of Wlan. If that doesnt help, then maybe contact your provider and ask whats going on with your connection.

It is good to see more people talking about Console Optimization :)
