Trapper holding the game hostage
I just played a match against a trapper. We successfully 3 gened ourselves. That isnt the problem. The problem is that the trapper would find us, but never hit us, but also not allow us to repair. If we insisted to repair, he would down us, and the pick up and throw down us untill we were out of grasp. Eventually, after about 50 minutes in which we couldnt end the game and he wasnt ending it either, he just hooked me, I died, and slugged last 2 people.
Is this holding the game hostage, since pretty much I had no way to end the match since he wouldnt kill us?

Hmm good question I personally believe this is taking a game hostage but also the rules on taking a game hostage as far as I know only affect what survivors do or do not do maybe send in a ticket and see what they say but you'll probably be waiting ages as I recently reported a hacker and got nothing back so yea

If he refused to hook anyone and wasted time repeatedly dropping everyone he downed could you not have just... done the gens?
I don't understand how the machete man with no mobility was keeping you off generators for 50 minutes. Seems like an easy win to me.
Maybe with 2 survivors this would be more difficult but 3 should be enough to put pressure on him.
If your problem is he was acting friendly but would pull you off gens then just play like he is a normal killer.

Also sounds like 3 ppl still alive.
My question is why didn't you 3 just split up and try to work on separate gens?
He wouldn't be able to pressure all 3 if they're being worked on separately, which means he would have to chase and kill someone.
All 3 of you shouldn't just be sitting on the same gen. Plus go search a chest for a lucky key and try to escape via hatch.

I feel like 3 gen with 3 people, why not split up and do different gens. But 50 minutes, how is that possible without bleeding out?

Did killer have bm? Yes. Was its a hostage situation? No.
3 people with 3 gens, with the killer dribbling. You 3 should have been able to get one more gen done in under 50 min.

If it lasted 50 minutes, I vote yes. There's no valid reason why you need to drop people and pick them up again for almost an hour.

Sounds easy on paper. We were on the swamp and the last 3 gens were : 1 in the corner by a gate and the shack, one in a valley, and one on that bridge thingy. He didnt even need to move to see all the gens, and they were no more than 20 m away from each other. The thing is he never really left that area so we couldnt get there, and as no one knew there are 3 gens there, we didnt go in that area, untill we realized all 3 gens are there. Yes, we were 3, since the 4th guy got caught early game and the trapper slugged and camped his corpse and when he died we had 2 gens left.
He had agitation, so he had no issue going to a gen with one of us on his back, since the gens were so close to each other. At some point I stopped wiggling, hoping he would hook me. That is when he started to dribble.
Talking about splitting up, yeah sure in solo q. Good luck getting your team mates to split up. And even if they did, he had such a good view of the gens, and he infestated the area with all of his traps and he had iri stone so even if there wasnt a trap there and he never set it, I would run away from the gen, through the same place and get caught in a trap.
While a 3 gen isnt an issue, the issue is he also refused to kill us. I would've dced, but guess what, I had about 2 internet disconnects at first, then I got tilted and dced a few matches, so a 6h ban was waiting for me. Yeah, my fault, I dont argue. I deserve all my dc bans. However, this time, I couldn't eat a 6h ban or the next one just because this trapper was like that. Although, after like 30 mins I started to consider taking the ban more and more.

Depends on the map some times you can have 3 gen is a 32m range others is like 50

They were like really really close. He was standing by the gen in the valley. The gen in the corner has only 2 access points, both comming from his side, and the one on the dock was on its end, and both its faces were facing towards him, so he didnt even have to move to see one of us EVEN GOING to a gen.
