Do survivors seriously don't know they are not actually kidnapping Victor?

Almost every single match I have with the twins the survivor I attack with Victor refuses to take him off... like... do they think that's a win? It's literally like having a survivor dead. They are not doing gens, or anything actually, they usually go into a corner of the map afk.

They make the Twins even better because you are in a 3vs1. And if you're chasing someone else that means just 2 other people are doing gens. What do I want Victor back when I am fine as an M1 killer with a power that sent a survivor afk?

I just got called a noob by a David who thought he actually kidnapped my Victor and I "didn't know how to reclaim him", like... I got a 4k and they did zero gens... having him "kidnap him" won my game. And it seems like such a common way of thinking since most survivors refuse to take Victor off, are child kidnappers really this dumb?

If you allow that Survivor to keep Victor, and the 2nd Survivor that you are chasing is a looping god, then you are essentially just playing the game as a Killer with no power. Even if it's just 2 Survivors working on the gens, they can still potentially finish all of them before you catch that 2nd Survivor.

Solo Survivors trying to do this are making a huge mistake. A well coordinated 4 man SWF could potentially make this work, though.

You get Victor back anyway after 30 secs or so, they changed that. Before that, you were like Trapper... without traps.

Kidnapping can be still a smart decsession tho in some situations when you notice A) that you're solo q mates struggle or B) you're in a SWF.

If the killer is a looping god I don't see how Victor would get me a kill. If said survivor is so good he'll just avoid Victor's attack and immediatly kick the baby.

I've seen most people use Victor to finish off survivors running away but that can backfire a lot, specially because if the survivor manages to gain distance and you miss a pounce you just lost the entire chase. It's gonna be even worse now after the nerf.

It’s actually a solid strategy to keep victor as long as possible to prevent a snowball effect. Doing this can allow other survivors to heal, unhook or pickup and keeps the killer without a power for x amount of time.

Or survivors are just meming with him and don't take the game as seriously as others bothered by it.

What a weirdly defensive thread with an odd argument

Kidnapping Victor is only a good idea if the rest of your team is injured to prevent the snowball. Other then that it's hoping your teammates can loop the killer well and nobody should have faith in their teammates if they are playing solo

Exactly, I think he's saying the first guy victor attacked kidnapped him, and from that standpoint, your power let you temporarily "kill" a survivor right off the bat, and that's significant (unless there's a loop god, but don't commit to that. Its doubtful all 3 are loop gods)

To be fair, many Killers complained about that when The Twins came out, so they also did not understand that it is basically chasing two Survivors at once.

I agree to you, Survivors who keep Victor on their back are doing the wrong thing.

I don’t think that in your specific example match the outcome would have differed if the David got rid of Victor. Like.. do you think he would have done 5 gens on his own in the time that he ‚kidnapped‘ Victor?

it can be smart or dumb to keep Victor, it’s really just situational. There is no always right or always wrong here.

Said it before and I'll say it again...BHVR is encouraging survivors to be worse at the game by introducing goofy stuff like this......

Its 100% wrong to kidnap victor at any time....every time...ALL THE TIME....

Every killer player knows this, the entire game is about TIME, having to use victor.....takes TIME, finding people with victor then chasing them down all that stuff takes TIME. If I know that a survivor is trying to "Kidnap" victor...you've literally just saved me 3 hooks worth of time spent to kill you......

She's 115% full on M1 killer.... a lot of people may think thats a bad thing but trust me...I can do some serious damage with just M1 alone, I don't even need powers its a bonus...

If someone decides to wear victor as a hat and I only have to keep up pressure on 3 people instead of 4 its about as one sided as the old match system where the game would keep going after someone started a match DC'd.... 5 gens left to be done vs 3 people....yeah thats a win...

It's a way for survivors to control the killers power, of course they're going to think whatever they do is a win.

It's like the Plague. Survivors think not cleansing is a good idea, and if you're good at avoiding a M1 killer then it might be. But the trade is between a perma-Tier III Michael, or a 115% Huntress, it's not a huge win either way.
