Why is everyone so upset?
Whenever I play killer like I'm supposed to, the survivors get upset. When I'm running a perk/build/killer they don't like, the survivors get upset. When I'm a friendly killer, they get upset. All of these reasons, they have reported me.
I'm just nervous at the end of the day, I will be banned for having a good time. What should I be doing so survivors are happy at the end of the game? Let them win?

You won't be banned unless you break TOS. Survivors complain about anything, so do whatever you wish as long as it's in TOS. I know I stopped caring about playing fair and nice with survivors a long time ago. You're not there for their amusement. Wreck havoc among all of them.

You won't get banned unless you are hacking or working with a survivor to kill the others.
Run whatever build you want. Play however you want. Just don't be an ass intentionally.

The most I've ever done was be afk while swinging my weapon with a macro. Should I stop doing that?

I would avoid macros imo but it's probably ok since you aren't bypassing or manipulating any gameplay rules.

Yep. That's called 'botting', and falls under the Unsportsmanlike Conduct category in the endgame report menu.

If you let them win, they will be upset because they will claim to be bored that there was no challenge

Quoting back to my op, no matter what I do, survivors will always be upset. So I guess I should just not play as a whole?

I could say the same for when I play survivor. Seems like if I don't spawn on a hook, most killers and the majority of people on this forum get upset.

Just play how you like just ignore the negative comments. I've been complained at for giving hatch multiple times by the person I gave hatch to. People will complain however they want. The thing is, is that I stopped caring about survivors feelings. They don't care about yours. I will tunnel, camp, slug do whatever I can to win, and I don't care about it after lol. I've been threatened. My twitch account being falsely reported and banned from a salty swf with bots, and a lot of other things I shouldn't say by these people. So do what you wish as long as it's in TOS like I said before.

Don't worry bud, you're fine if you're not hacking or being mean.
Mentally replace everything with "waaah im a big baby", say "at least I didn't face camp (or tunnel maybe)" and they'll usually be like "tru" lol.
Also, the game is designed to make them hate you, you did just (try to) murder them. Take it with a grain of salt and think of it as a psychology experiment maybe.

I honestly couldn't care less what perks killers or survivors run. I don't care if a killer brings iri addons or if survivors bring a key.
Some people just like to blame perks/addons/offerings as to why they don't "win."
You cannot be banned for equipping anything that is in the game.

You will be fine the player base that gets upset easily probably dosent understand what happened to have that outcome so instead of asking or trying it them selves they get mad the only way you can be banned Is holding the game hostage like trapping the last surivor in the corner before egc or teaming

People are gonna get mad at you no matter what. This goes for literally every multiplayer game in existence. As long as you're not actually cheating, you can play however you want and you shouldn't let someone else's complaints decide how you play, because it doesn't matter. I hate Spirit, but I'm not gonna get mad at anyone who plays her because that's dumb and they won't care anyway, they're just playing the game. It's my problem to deal with, not theirs.

Nah, something to learn with this community is that people can be rude no matter what you do. Survivors flame each other constantly, Survivors flame killers, killers flame survivors- it's just a cycle of people just talking smack to each other to some degree, and it's something you even see here on the forums. (After all, creating Us vs Them scenarios between the two roles isn't really how I would describe nor recommend bridging any gaps in the player base, and making the game more fun for everyone.)
Tbh, just take it with a grain of salt and move on. Usually, when people are mad, it's because you out preformed them, their teammates screwed them over (and they don't want to call them out or just saw it as you) or they're mad that they barely got any points, or because they genuinely got camped/tunneled to death. (The last two being pretty easy to see in your own games, p much if you camp or tunnel that Survivor isn't going to get many points, esp if you do it from the start, and generally people get super grumpy if you camp or tunnel them to death intentionally, especially at like... 4-5 gens left. With 1 left/being popped/being in end game with no gens, people usually are a little more understanding.)
Just relax though and have fun in your games, and don't feel bad about muting chat.
