Plague's relationship with The Entity
I got to thinking about her more and how she perceives the trials. I imagine that she believes she's doing what she does for her god, and that it isn't a bad thing. She justifies her sacrifices as a necessity to appease her god, or to repay it for saving her and allowing her to live. I don't think she's a bad person, she just grew up in an environment where sacrifices to the gods were needed, and completely justified.
Her Mori especially, is her essentially sacrificing a survivor, but in a more ritualistic way. We can assume that she sees The Entity as her god, as I'm sure she's aware that it put her in the trials.
Do you think she is The Entities favourite due to her devotion and blind faith? Or do you think it's someone else?

The Entity seems to show a stronger liking for The Clown or The Ghost Face, probably due to their sadistic nature; killing for basically personal kicks.
Adiris may be more used than preferred, as her religious vigour is easy to manipulate. Granted, The Entity is very picky in what it considers a valuable asset, both killers and survivors, so everyone is valued. It's just that all of these cults who worship strange beings tend to not be given much in the way of rewards (in some cases, the deity outright smites them!).
That's if we even comprehend how that giant, spiderlike mesh thinks!

Adiris is probably pretty simple to manipulate. Looking at her offerings, I think she believes the Entity is the Babylonian god of plagues and chaos and death - and it saved her life and brought her to a different plane, so it wouldn't exactly be difficult to convince her that it's a god and wants her to serve it in some holy task (or that requires service and sacrifice before it will save her people.) But I imagine the Entity most prefers killers it doesn't have to manipulate at all - ones that'll just do what it wants them to do because they think it's fun and they'd be doing it anyway. We can already glean from Ghostface, Trickster, and Clown that these are the killers it alters the least, so some inference can be drawn that it's already satisfied with their performance. From what's been presented so far, it sounds like Adiris has a fair moral compass (she did everything she could to save her people, and unless her archives end up refuting it, she's never killed anyone intentionally, just accidentally through spreading plague), and that can't be a preferred trait in killers.
On the other hand, she herself might be feeding it in a way many other killers aren't, if the Entity feeds off suffering. Some killers look like they exist in a state of constant pain (Trapper with the hooks in his body, Spirit and Twins with their wounds, Blight with his... everything, if he's even capable of physically feeling anymore), and it's hard to contest she'd be on top of that list. Actually, in that case, killers that have some measure of conflict about what they're doing might be preferred, because they generate more despair and strife. And Adiris would do anything that the gods told her to regardless of her feelings on the matter, so it's not like it'd affect her performance.
I'm really curious about what her archives will reveal about her, though the whole maiden guard thing has me a little leery that they're going to change her into someone who actively hurt people before their original lore blurb presented (like the Legion, Wraith, and Spirit.)

This is a really interesting theory about the Clown and Ghost Face - I'm curious about what bit of lore made you think that? I'd love to know if I missed something and there are tidbits about the Entity favoring them.

For the Clown, he traversed into the realm, bringing his caravan, horse and all with him. His bio talks of the realm being "perfect", and sets up camp to await his next victims. The Entity has allowed him to have belongings, which it's not bothered with others. It allows him to feel he is in the perfect place and even seems to allow him to prepare, when other killers are just thrown in.
He is also refered to as a parasite, which ironically is what the Entity effectively is; feeding off the fears and hopes of others. Taking into account it effectively laying a red carpet out (compared to other killers), it's probably because it recognises a familiarity in the Clown.
I also think that the devs mentioned the Entity has a liking for him, although I have no reference as to where I thought I heard it from. But overall, the depravity of Jeffrey seems to have been rewarded, and his life mirrors the Entity in that they both travel to find victims, torture them and collect stuff to feed their desires.
As for Danny Johnson, his wavering cloak that seems to float has been mentioned as its connection to the Entity. This was mentioned in a dev stream a while back, or so I read.
Also, like Jeffrey, he's also parasitic; searching for prey to fulfill his desires. The Entity seems to have a keen liking for parasites, which makes it rather interesting that something so powerful has affinities like this.
So, the Entity may just be a parasite with abnormally bizaar powers, that seems to have found a way to manipulate Auric Cells. Hypothetically, if it wasn't as powerful until discovering these, what was it originally and how did it feed before?

most of the archive lore recently has been as generic as possilbe and also as contradicting to old lore as possible so maiden guard will change it
