What we really need for Year 5
You know what we really need for Year 5? A health chapter. A period where BHVR can sit down and fix a ton of issues and balance bunch of stuff that so many people have been asking for them to resolve instead of slowly trying to fix things while they are mainly focusing on releasing new content. This would be extremely helpful for everyone since players will actually want to play DBD instead of wanting to quit because of constant bugs like the Twins release and mid-chapter patch, unnecessary changes like the new hud and movements, awful balancing decisions like nerfing things that don't need to be nerfed like rat liver instead of nerfing something like keys or noed, and etc. And BHVR will keep their game from slowly dying because people are sick of the things I mentioned before. It's a win-win. I don't see any downside to this.

I would install the game again if they overhauled the gameplay and made it actually fun and fair (gen speed, pallet looping, bring stealth and horror back that’s been lost for sometime now the last horror edition we got was spirit jump scares)

You forget Ghostface jumpscares. But besides that yeah I agree 100%.

Health chapter may try to fix issues/bugs but why does everyone think one chapter could fix everything without introducing new bugs?
you realize that all bugs are not intentionally implemented and they would probably have new bugs as well, so you will still complain about the same BUT there will be no real chapter as well?
also people are already bored when chapters don’t introduce a new map, imagine how fast people will get bored if there is no new killer..

A health chapter won´t fix the game. Because unlike other games, DbD has a spaguetti code. It was never intended to have dedicated servers. But people wanted them so hard, that the devs finally gave in and changed so much, that no amount of health chapters will fix it.

A health chapter wouldn’t fix anything since it would break next chapter. That’s spaghetti code for you

All they have to do is literally just announce they’re doing a full game overhaul it may not be out just yet but that it will be out by the holidays so that they can do a killer which is probably the resident evil chapter (ugh hope they don’t ruin this franchise) but just give us hope they hear players want to do more than skill checks and run we came for horror not a chase simulator.

Other online multiplayer games are way better when it comes to lag and latency. I would think by this point Behavior is working on a complete overhaul, but it would be wise to keep it a secret until release time.

I am totally down for this. Do something like a remaster, with better code for future progress.
I am also totally down for making the game scarier. I remember the first time i played DbD, and the horror i felt when the killer came close by

Chases are the only thing fun about DBD.

Might I suggest a classic IOS game you might enjoy same scare level and it’s all about being chased and jumping and diving it’s called temple run, I think you’d like that

A fresh game would be less work than fixing that code.

But if they did a second DBD a lot of players would be frustrated about money spent on skins and dlc also having to repurchase base price and redoing all the licenses for killers who have them

We have cross progression (somewhat). So just pass the progress from the first DbD to the second one and give everyone who had already the game, a free copy.

If they do that ok sure but still nobody is asking for that we just want the game to be updated bricky made a video about how the code was not built for this game it’s evolved into again they would have to renegotiate all licenses with killers which already took awhile because coding the killer and survivor is arguably the easy part getting in touch with lawyers and license holders setting up new agreements is the hard part.

Or, get this, I can continue to enjoy Dead by Daylight for what it is and you can find some ios game to scare you for a week before moving on to the next thing because it's not scary anymore once you get used to it.

lmao you are funny that why I am creating my own game so people cant keep turning horror games into action games upsetting the crowd that got them to where they are at and abandoning us for moms powerful credit cards.

Horror games don't stay scary forever.
You can play a horror game for the first couple of times and it'll be scary, but the more you play the less scary it becomes.
Also like a horror movie, the more times you watch the movie it loses the "horror" because you know what's going to happen.
