Lithe Vs Sprint Burst?

I've never played this game and I don't intend on getting it, but I've been looking at both lithe and sprint burst, and all I see from them, is that you can activate sprint burst at anytime, but you can only use lithe when you fast vault, so why would you ever pick lithe?

Edit: Just reread both lithe and sprint about 60 times over and finally saw that sprint burst is activated when you start to run and not with a key like dead hard

I find lithe better because I don't have to save it by walking everywhere and the activation for lithe is not even that difficult since there are vaults everywhere. It could also help you get an extra loop in when you need it and gives you a fair amount of distance. It's also good when you valut windows from heights since you still get a good 1 or 2 second speed boost.

Lithe is better in my opinion.

You can pair Lithe with Quick & Quiet and Dance with Me to Houdini mid-chase. They don't see the rushed notification thanks to Q&Q, they don't see any scratch marks thanks to Dance and then you zoom out the window with Lithe.

You can even run Urban Evasion to fake the Lithe and get the killer to leave the area completely.

Sprint Burst is just that, to sprint away. Lithe has more mind games to it.

Lithe is easier to maintain, easier to use on demand and you get more distance from it since you also have a window between you and the killer. Its cons are that you can't really use it while looping and if you were to get hit going through the window its basically wasted.

Sprint Burst is considered better because you can use it everywhere, its strength is to turn otherwise deadzones in to safe areas. You can also 99 it to be able to use it on demand which is very powerful. It's biggest con is how much you need to bother maintaining it. A Sprint Burst on bad hands can be worse than no exhaustion perks at all.

i feel like using an entire build just to make one play isnt a good idea...

Its a combo build for consistent play, not a meme build.

WGLF/BT/Deliverance focuses just on safe unhook.

Inner Strength/Detectives Hunch/Head On/Deception is about locker mind games.

You could even run plunderers build (plunderers, Appraisal, pharmacy, etc.)

You could pair Q&Q, Dance, Lithe with multiple perks. Idea is to evade killer which is the point of the game. You can run Diversion, Urban Evasion.

Not every build has to be generic and fits peoples different playstyles. If you like engaging killer in chases then try a build. If you like self caring in bushes then do that. If you like totem hunting then do that.

Let's not even mention killers who run dedicated builds around certain maps or survivor lobbies.

Lithe all the way. Plus, it pairs well with Spine Chill and Resilience if you're injured.

I get why SB is the way it is, but I frequently burn it when I don't mean to lol

You activate sprint burst when you start running , walking isn't so effective so you need to waste your sprint burst on the start of the game you get exhaustion status that does not do anything execpt of course wasting your other exhaustion perks the exhaustion effect disappear after about a minute but you need to stand still to exhaustion to start resetting becuse when you run the exhaustion effect does not disappear you can 99% it so when you are on the loop and you are forced to drop the pallet escape to the another loop/tile when killer is breaking a pallet

here's a good video that explains that https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TsMDe6A2NbE

    They're for 2 different things.

Sprint Burst is for ensuring you start a chase in a good position. It will activate the second you start running so it is basically going to come out at the start of chase.

Lithe is for getting out of a chase you're already in. If you've just vaulted something, the Killer is probably on the other side of some sort of obstruction from you which will slow them down and you're gonna start zooming. Seriously, a well used Lithe will give you more distance than any other Exhaustion Perk. Also the amount of zooming you do when you get hit when healthy mid window vault with Lithe is actually silly.

I used to like Lithe but now I don't. If I run to a jungle gym and I fast vault something I could have looped it 1 maybe 2 more times. With Lithe if I get to a jungle gym and fast vault I have to run to another jungle gym to get value out of the perk. With SB I can't run without losing it. However it's good for those "oh #@$t" moments. Like when the killer sneaks up on me working on a gen. I can try to get to a pallet before he lands a hit.
