they disabled communities on PS4 about a month ago. I don't think PS5 has them I haven't really looked to be honest.

They were removed on PS4 and are absent on PS5.

As others mentioned, Sony shut down the Communities feature last month. However, Playstation users can still use messaging functions on the console and Playstation app.
