Reasons why Lady Dimitrescu is going to be the New Killer
Introduction
So Resident Evil Village is coming out in a few days and a new character is going to be featured in it. So I think Dead by Daylight will go with a newer character that can fit into the game well. Other than Nemesis who doesn't even fit in the game at all.
Reasons why
So I have been doing some research and here is what I found
- For at least seventy years between the 1950s and 2020s, she was tied to a series of violent homicides.
That sounds like basic killer material, right?
- Dimitrescu was a follower of a Satanic witch-cult which practiced vampirism and human sacrifice, possibly for sustenance
Human sacrifice? Hmm... sounds familiar. This would mean Dimitrescu would want to be a part of the entity's realm other than fight it. Once again, sounds like killer material to me.
- According to the RE wiki "Dimitrescu's origins are presently a mystery, in particular the questions of her age, and whether she was born with a Progenitor disease or contracted it later."
- Among Dimitrescu's traits post-infection is the ability to elongate her fingernails into razor-sharp claws.
Just these two things make Dimitrescu perfect killer material for this game.
Just look how good she can fit in the game, she looks similar to plague in the height and body.

Just for the record, Lady Dimitrescu is far too tall to be in the game. Plague is not anywhere near her height (dunno why people keep saying that). She's 290 cm tall. Plague is probably my height (about 2 meters). Lady Dimitrescu wouldn't fit in the shack or through most doorways. She'd hit the ceiling in some areas of indoor maps.

Apparently Lady Dimitrescu is 9 ft. 6 inches feet tall. That is insanely tall and probably too tall to be a Killer, if we are trying to be somewhat realistic. Nemesis, on the other hand, allegedly clocks in at 7 ft. 3 inches.

As of right now there's really no telling who the killer will be, but I personally hope that Lady Dimitrescu is the killer more than Mr. X or Nemesis.

I'd love to see her in game, but you have to consider a few things:
It's the RE Franchise's 25th Anniversary, wouldn't they be more likely to do something nostalgic?
RE8 hasn't been released yet, could critical info leak if Capcom and BHVR worked on a project about her?
Is she a fan favorite? More so than other infamous RE baddies such as Birkin, Wesker, Nemesis or Mr. X?
Not to mention they're most likely going to do Legendary cosmetics for the Survivor(s) to have multiple RE characters ingame, wouldn't be surprised if this is the case for her (you said yourself she's very similar to Plague).

Besides doorways I don't think their is much stopping from their being a tall killer in dbd. If anything the animations of her vaulting through windows and walking through doors would be really cool to see.
But tbh if they don't use Lady D, I wouldn't be surprised if the three daughters are instead used. The 5 in the anniversary logo does look like their hooks.

The Devs don't have to keep her super tall, just like if they add nemesis they aren't going to give him a rocket launcher

I'm praying it isn't, honestly. Yeah, Dimitrescu is popular right now, but she doesn't hold the same icon status that Mr. X and Nemesis do. Would make a sick plague skin though.

Do they change height of licensed characters? There is a difference between not giving a Killer an explosive firearm and shrinking a Killer by two feet.

If the license holders are OK with it. Freddy's lore/videos on the DBD channel talk about how the Entity buffed his power in some areas and nerfed it in others. I'm sure BHVR could come to a similar agreement with Capcom if they wanted to.

I think there's a difference between adapting a character's powers and adapting their appearance. The appearance is usually the main factor in recognizing a character, not their powers.

She's hyped, not iconic. When the devs and Capcom decided who the killer would be months and months ago (because it takes DbD many months to create a killer), they had no clue if fans would take to her.
Other reasons it shouldn't be her:
1. It'd be dumb for RE to create a new killer to renew interest in their franchise and then hand her out to be used elsewhere. Why spread your new IP thin like that?
2. It's DbD's anniversary, not the celebration of RE's new game; the addition of an iconic killer is a better way to celebrate, otherwise it's more like an advertisement for someone else.
3. In order to capitalize on as many fans as possible, use an iconic character that brings up nostalgia in DbD. If they release a character from their new game, it will only appeal to the same people who are already giving RE money for the new game (which may cannibalize their own sales). If however the old RE fans aren't interested in the new game, they may pay up to play the iconic characters.
4. Right now, Lady Dimitrescu is hyped. The popularity could be long-lived or it could end at any moment. She is not a tried-and-true character who has lasted the test of time.

While I wouldn't mind having her a s killer, she seems too big to fit here and also there are other RE villains that are more well known and have been in the series for longer, so I don't think she will be the one chosen to be the killer in DBD.

Nemesis and Mr.X are around the same height as her. I don't know why people aren't saying that

They are several feet shorter than her actually. She is over 9 feet tall while nemesis is barely 7 foot tall and mrx x is shorter than nemesis as well

Nemesis's height has been confirmed to be 7 foot 3 inches. Mr X is similarly sized at nemesis but a little shorter
Also, Think about it in game. Nemesis is certainly taller than Jill in the game but not over a meter taller, which if he was the height this video suggests he would have to be. Jill is confirmed to be 5'5 and Nemesis was 9 foot tall like this video suggests she would be fairly close to half his height which is just not true

I dunno I saw this image online, and the the 5 looks exactly like the Daughter's weapon. We know based off of last year that the number is a big hint to who the killer will be. I really hope this isn't true though as the Daughter is definitely not an iconic character of Resident Evil yet.

Currently playing through Village, its amazing. And yes, I would love for it to be her, she’s much more interesting than Myers wannabe Mr. X or Rawr run away me Hulk Nemesis. I doubt it will be her though.

I so want it to be her, I think she'd get along with plague with this human sacrifice stuff.
Maybe she'll be able to control a zombie to get into areas she can't, we already see this power with Fiona and victor so I'm sure there's a work around. She'll just be limited to being outside or something.
But it's true she's an Amazonian, I wonder how she'd get around in maps like lery's.

I cannot speak for Mr. X, but from what I have read, Lady Dimitrescu is 9 ft 6 inches while Nemesis is 7 ft 3 inches. If true, then they are nowhere near the same height.

I would find it very surprising if they allowed another game to feature a newly introduced character in their own game.
Like here..."go play DBD and you can play as our brand new character in our own game". Just seems... odd.

Have we considered that maybe they'll do a new and an old killer?
It IS the 5th anniversary, them deciding to do two killers and two survivors would definitely be surprising, as well as taking advantage of the license on it's anniversary as well.

I just killed her in RE8. I play games kind of fast but her and her daughters were completely dead within a little over 2 hours? Most of those scenes involved watching her voyeuristically from random places while she walked around and seemed unable to hear or see you despite you being right there. (She stares directly at you in a mirror then walks away crying about not being able to find 'ETHAN WINTERS') Even her boss battle seemed kind of weird because she was ranting and raving as if she and you had some long held grudge and rivalry and it's like "I've physically interacted with you for a grand total of 45 seconds up until this point."
Except for her waifu fad status she really isn't that iconic. She's on screen just enough to choke you out twice and smile while you stare down at her tits.

Agreed. I'd love if they really went all out this time - Lady Dimitriscu and Mr X/Nemesis/Birkin/whoever as two killers, two survivors, and maybe multiple maps like the mansion, the police station, and/or the village or castle.
I don't EXPECT all of this, but it's nice to dream about lol
