While I think it never suited Claudette anyway… the delay feels really unnecessary now.
i don’t know why she even won, was this solely community voted? I think there should have been a pre selection on what is even possible and looking at the result that cosmetic was not possible..

Same with the Legion skin. Why pick it if you can't commit to the design of the changing expressions?

It wasn’t voted on by the community it was solely up to the devs. If they knew all along they weren’t going to add all the details they shouldn’t have chosen it. I wanted something different for claude and I don’t hate the final product it’s just weird it was delayed a year and looks the same as the first teaser of it

The reasoning behind that not happening was bull #########, if you know you can't implement it, then why pick it, why raise the expectations and excitement of the community only to have it crashing down in disappointment, did anyone learn from CyberPunk? Don't raise our expectations and don't make promises you can't keep

They should've considered that fact before they picked it. They knew the reason it was so popular was because of that mask, and they should have made sure it was in the realm of their capabilities before they committed to it.

I really like that Legion skin. It's probably my favourite. I'm assuming that when they picked it, they thought it was a cool design either way (which I agree with), and that the mask would be a nice-to-have, if they could make it work. It's not realistic to think that they would have gone through a whole development process to see if they could animate the mask before they chose the winner, and it probably wouldn't have affected the outcome if they had -- they likely would have still picked this skin because it looks cool.
For the Claudette skin, I do feel like it might have been a mistake to choose that drawing only for the reason that the drawing was so stylized, which means that it's going to look a lot different when it's implemented in the game no matter what, and it opens the door to more ambiguity about which features of the design are essential. If I were on the design team, I would have looked at the drawing and mentally deleted the g-string as being a stylistic flourish intended to convey the mood of the design -- I would not have predicted that the artist or community would focus on that one detail and get annoyed if it wasn't there.
So, I can imagine a world where they picked that as the winning design and thought they were getting "sporty street wear Claudette" and then were surprised to end up in an argument about underwear. But, by that point, they were committed and had to work out a compromise. I don't think the skin we got is a totally bad compromise in that world.
