Blood Moon in Tome VII(DEAD SPACE MAYBE?!)
The ultra rare charm at the end of Tome VII is a blood moon. Anyone who has played Dead Space knows how important the blood moon is. Could this maybe be a hint at yet another video game crossover? This time with Dead Space?

i wish, it would be a nice, little hint, you mean brethren moons tho correct?

Of course.

I think The 'Blood Moon' charm (like the new moon charm) is a reference to a discontinued offering that would affect the lighting on the maps (like making it brighter or darker)
edit: though it could be. Looking through other charms in the 'mementos of prominence' collection now
edit 2: okay, the only other charm in that collection so far is the 'exit gate' charm earlier on the rift, so probably it is more of a shoutout to stuff gone by (i think the mobile game has 'blood moon/blood hunt' events on a regular basis, maybe it's that

Hope so, I'd love a Dead Space chapter.

they asked about Dead Space in their survey so it's possible, but isn't Dead Space owned by EA? um,seems kinda difficult...

dunno if it is, but EA is one of the companies you DO NOT WANT to make contracts with.

Exactly, the 3heads at that company destroyed dead space and buried the series in the ground, luckily the guys who made the original dead space are making a spiritual successor called the callisto protocol

like, there are at least 3 big NOs of companies you don't wanna make contracts with in videogames:
EA
Di$ney
Konami.
We are already unlucky bhvr got the last one on their back now (regardless of the chapter's quality etc), any of the other two would kill the game.
Do you really want p2p? lootboxes instead of the bloodweb? stuff like that?

I don't think getting licensed content included in DBD is going to change core things like the bloodweb or introduce scummy practices from those companies

Ok I'm pretty sure getting a shareholding license would not cause a company to take over the game, but I get why you worry

think with the above companies is this:
the want to see money. Think it's only cause there's more players (thus a need for servers) that we get so much payed content since the SH chapter? naw.
it's not about 'taking over the game' (though that can be in the contract too, in the form of dictating prices for stuff), but demanding the profit to surpass a certain margin.

I'm not really familiar with Konami, what's so bad about them?

they have the reputation to really have their thumb on stuff they license and be very insistent on contract being met by the letter, with hefty fees if the license taker can't deliver. they might have gotten better, but yeah, that's the gist of it.

Nah that's just terraria crossover

Blood moons are just a very very common thing in folk lore. I doubt we'll get a dead space cross over because of a moon charm. but the idea is still cool

It may be more a reference to a werewolf or vampire chapter in the offering. There's a clip revealing a vampire/ bat-related individual in a castle, so I'm not sure whether that's the plan or not. I'm willing to guess the next chqpter after RE may be a more traditional affair - looking back at some classic killers for influence, like the aforementioned creatures.
I'd be all for a Dead Space chapter though! Although, now you've suggested something I've not thought of until now: Is the final charm a hint towards the next chapter in previous tomes?
