People are saying that the killers are Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela( Lady D daughters)
with the new teaser for the 5th year anniversary, people are saying that the new killers are Bela, Cassandra, and Daniela, who are Lady D's daughters since the 5 looks like the sickle the 3 carry.
i disagree since why would you pick a killer from RE game that just came out and that inst as hyped as Lady D
it doesn't really make any sense for those 3 to be the new killers since Lady D is much more popular.
PLus I think the devs are pulling a fast one on us by making us think the 5 has something to do the killer but it actually doesn't and they want us to look deeper between the lines

Of course, there's no way it will be the daughters (or any other character from RE8). However, as someone who is not a big fan of the RE series for a number of reasons (I watched playthroughs of most of them but never felt like playing myself) and the "classic iconic" RE enemies one of which will most likely be the killer, just in terms of character design, the daughters are probably what I'd love to see most in DbD. I could imagine an interesting power could be built around the bug swarm. As for the more likely candidates, I'm not sure what a power would be that would make it special enough to interest me in playing the killer.

RE8 had a lot of hype the last couple months, i think having nemesis or Mr. X would be stale, what are they gonna do? dash around the map like 10 other killers do already? I think they have a lot more opportunity in powers with the vampire sisters. DBD does like to throw people off though with the pyramid head release people swore up and down the roads it was Candyman. I dont think the 5 has anything to do with the killer, could just be homage to the new game being released but doesnt mean its the killers weapon. People are saying they hear zombies in the trailer and the umbrella logo on the ground, but that could just be emphasizing that its the RE series as a whole

In all honesty, I think we're gonna be lucky if we get Legendary skins based on RE7 and RE8 characters. Not a big spoiler for Village but I mean, the sisters and Lady Dimitrescu are really only in the game for the first third, similar to Jack in 7. But Jack at least was the "main" villain for the game for most of the duration.
Still banking on Mr. X or Nemesis, hoping its Nemesis so we get some uniqueness added to the game.

Still hoping for Nemesis, i feel it would be better for DBD and RE if the characters in the chapter were well-know fan-favs. Can't beat the classics, after all

I think nemesis makes sense. He is one of the most recognized faces from RE. He appeals to the classic RE gamers and will appeal to the fans of the Remake.
People say a rocket launcher or mini gun won't work in dbd. I am inclined to agree. However I know the devs once considered a killer with a flamethrower.
Nemesis did have one at one point. It might make like fire trails like Pyramid Head or something. Lots of possibilities. It just would not make sense to make the killer from the newer games in my opinion.
I personally want Nemesis is the game.

I think those who believe it could be the sisters are referencing the shape of the 5 to the weapons they carry, basing it on the connection between the shape of the 4 and Pyramid Head's helmet. A geometric reference.
I'm not sure that they'll try the same trick twice but I can see why the logic sways towards that. Yet the sickle isn't as iconic as the pyramid helmet, so I'm wondering whether there's another clue there, hiding in plain sight.

The internet is filled with memes around her right now. From a marketing standpoint, why would they not want BHVR to use something from their newest game to convince people to buy it? I wouldn't say it is definitely her, but there is a good chance it is something from the newer games.

This remind me about the "Free market strategy", that is what supossely keep Minecraft, the strategy to add things that will keep people coming to the game doing something to please the public,not just a fanbase.
Nemesis or Mr.X could call some Re Fans, but not as much as the Dimistrescu can do with a more global ppl

The thing about the rocket launcher and minigun for me it's because it would look way more comical than threatening, I would lmao if I saw he using it on someone. A flamethrower is way better

last year, the image of the 4 show cased a hat like figure that ended up being pyramid head. This year, the 5 showcases another hat like figure within the 5. The first part of the 5 looks like MR X hat. I think its very unlikely they would choose a new villain from RE franchise. I am curious for how they will deliver the chapter. For one, The only notable time where MR.X was playable character was in RE Resistance and in that game, he had an ability where he dashes forward while gliding along walls and you'd press a button for him to perform a finisher swing. In this game context, that would most likely be an instant down. Will that be his power or will DBD invent more along his power? He also had a Mori animation in that game where he grabs a survivor, picks up their head and severed their head than dropped them on the floor similar to Myers Mori. Will that be his Mori animation?
Than there's question of what survivor will be. I think logically, they will release 2 survivors like demogorgon chapter, I think one of them will be Chris and the other one will be Jill and every other character will be a skin behind these two characters. Jill is likely to have characters like Claire Redfield, Ada wong etc. and Chris will probably have a skin for Leon and any other characters they decide to include.
I am more curious of what the perks of this chapter will bring more so than the characters.

I would like it if it were the vampires, but I don't think it will be. I also kind of wonder whether it was a mistake to let people speculate this long. If they had just revealed whatever it was during the anniversary stream, we'd probably accept it and judge it based on the powers, perks, etc. But now people have had time to really dig in and hope for particular killers and at least some will be disappointed.

As much as i would like RE8's band of ladies to be in DBD, the reality is is that RE8 literally just released barely a month ago, DBD likes it's major and historical killers, which is why Nemesis, Mr X and Burkin are a lot more likely to be added to the game

It's most likely they'll go classical in Nemesis or Mr.X even someone like myself unfamiliar with Resident Evil realizes they'd likely bring in more of a audience.
