Cross platform end game chat
Can we please for the love of entity get end game cross platform chat. I’m tired of meeting killers that actually play fair and wanting to add/talk to them outside of steam or PSN. not to mention the lack of expressing perspective on things with other survivors and newer people. This feature would allow the survivor role to be much more tolerable as you can hold people accountable for what happened in game and being able to potentially help someone or yourself understand another persons point of view.

Yeah it's a shame console players can't have a bit of banter after a good game. Some sort of thumbs up or applause icon that the other players can actually see post game would be good.

Naw it's bad enough that we have to deal with other pc users chatting most which is "gg" or trolls. I don't want to see what console users are going to say.

I would like this too as a ps4 player. It'd be nice to drop a gg back at the other players and chat a bit about the match.

Players thinking they can/should "hold people accountable for what happened in game" is one of the main causes of toxicity.

I really wish I could talk to console players sometimes. Some are damn good and others', I really wish I could help them with a killer by giving them a bit of my knowledge. Yeah, there are cases where people just want to do it to rub salt on some wounds but being able to thank a Bill or a Nancy who went out of there way to save your skin from a basement Bubba or Hag and successfully get out just makes me wish there was a way to thank them. Some killers stomp me really good but aren't being ######### during and I would love to tell them how much fun I had. I still have a video of a killer who destroyed me from 2 years back and I still wish I could have told them how great they were. You don't always got to win to have fun. Sometimes the most fun is getting outplayed and going, "OH #########! HE'S/SHE'S GOOD!" Then seeing how long you can stay alive. Same goes with Killer when you get that really good looper and its just you and that person. You have that stare down and know its about to get real lol. Maybe its just me but I find chases the most fun and the harder they are to escape from or catch, the more enjoyment I get.

I see absolutely no reason not to add it (if possible, of course) as long as there's a way to opt out for people that don't like it.
But not to "hold people accountable" for anything in game. If someone's straight up cheating or something don't give them attention, report if you're able to provide the needed proof and move on. If someone's just being annoying but they're operating within the rules of the game they have nothing to justify or be held accountable for.

It wouldn't be used to "help" anyone, it would probably be used more like this.
"Wow you're ******* at the game, do everyone a favor and uninstall the ******* game you ********* ****!"

everyone says this happens a lot but it has literally never happened to me
the number of times i've actually had a fun chat with the killer/survivors after the match far outweighs the number of times the chatfilter has actually filtered hateful messages instead of just messages that contain normal words, let alone actual hate or toxicity.

Good for you I guess?
The amount of hateful messages I get (over the dumbest things) outweigh the amount of "nice messages" I've receive while playing this game.

what i'm saying is, your experiences are not universal.

I only want cross-platform chat if I can immediately turn it off and ignore it.
Not seeing salty messages every few matches was one of my favorite features of crossplay (and literally the only reason I still have it on).

I'm thinking he meant it in a positive manner.
Like, someone rescued me last second during the EGC and we clutched it to the exit in time. I would have commented, "Wow, well played with the last second rescue."
It goes both ways through. I guess that's what you're trying to point out, but I wanted to shine light on his intentions since people are misunderstanding them.
