NEVER GIVE SURVIVORS GNOME
I was gonna give a guy a gnome, mercy towards their bitter fate, I wrecked his team 3k find gnome, WAS BY THE HATCH, I closed hatch prior, I was carrying them towards it, they broke out and then jumped in hatch, THIS IS WHY SURVIVORS DESERVE LESS, I HAD A TOME ALMOST COMPLETED I NEEDED 4K DOC BRO, NEVER AGAIN SURVIVORS, NEVER AGAIN.
EDIT: SINCE FOLKS DO NOT UNDERSTAND HYPERBOLIC CHAT, I.E. A **** POST, THIS IS CALLED RAMBLING, YOU KEEP SAYING THE SAME THING ABOUT: bUt yOU nEEd to kEEp sUrvIvOrs AlIvE fOr thEm tO gEt gnOmE. IF YOU AREN'T GOING TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE THREAD OR EVEN WHAT I WROTE I WILL EXPLAIN THIS IN THE LAMENTS TERMS SO HOPEFULLY YOU STOP SAYIN THE SAME CRAP, THE POINT HERE IS I COULDA EASILY KILLED THE GUY, HE WAS SLUGGED AND A GREAT DISTANCE FROM HATCH, I WAS LIT UP BLUE, I BROUGHT HIM OVER THERE TOWARDS GNOME ONLY FOR HIM TO BREAK OUT LAST SECOND TO MISS IT ENTIRELY, I WAS TRYING TO BE NICE, MEANING, I CARRIED YOU TO ALMOST GNOME AND A GREAT DISTANCE, THROWING MY CHALLENGE TO HELP ANOTHER PLAYER OUT AND THEY DISRESPECT THE GNOME MERCY BY TURNING A 180, EVEN THO I TOOK THEM WAY ACROSS THE MAP, FRESH AS THE EVENT JUST STARTED...

It happens quite alot sadly. When I started playing the game it was against Doctor when I was last survivor. Downed me and carried me to a gen then started swinging at it. I broke out and jumped in hatch just to find out he just needed me to tap it so he could break it for a challenge.......I was a newbie but still find it very dumb of me to do that.

I can't tell you how many times I've tried to gesture for a Killer to follow me to help me complete a challenge or I've stood by something I needed and waited for them to help me trigger it only for their greed at getting a hook to ruin it. The thing about it is that they have no idea of knowing what I am trying to do or what I need, and vice versa.
It's very frustrating especially for some of those really difficult/obscure challenges, but most of the time Survivor mains aren't going to know Killer challenges and Killers won't know what Survivors need.
Try to not get too frustrated. Hang in there and happy gaming! <3

That's a bit harsh. It's just a game. Get the challenge next time. They wanted the Gnome and you have to SURVIVE to actually receive the reward as a survivor. Killing the person after would have just caused a lot more hate.

You realize that survivors need to escape to keep their gnome... right? So basically if you killed him and got your 4K he wouldn't have kept the gnome you gave him.

He might not have known about it. I didn't know about it until I read the boards. Luckily I did, cause I got mine as killer by complete accident. Saw the gnome, smashed it. I was playing Pig, and the survivor with an RBT on their head opened the gate. Her head popped and I just shook my head. Another survivor escaped without me noticing, then I ran into THE GNOME and was like "OMG I'm actually going to get it!" and it took a little while for the last survivor to go out the exit gate, but luckily they did. I'd have let them get a gnome, cause I heard another one laugh, but they just left. They might not have known about it either.
As for your 4k Challenge, I'm sure you'll do it again in no time. Though with Rank Reset right now, things are tough. People always play pretty nasty for some reason for the next couple days.

I've had one too many experiences of a Killer pretending to carry me to the hatch, only to drop me and slam it in my face. It happens all the time. Maybe the survivor didn't want to take a chance.

Yeah because all survivors do that! (sarcasm).
I gave the killer the gnome earlier - I saw it omw to the exit gate. Once I opened the gate I purposefully fast vaulted some windows by it to get their attention.. .waited for killer in crouch/point position - he got the gnome then he downed me with NOED and mori'd me. I'm not biased enough though to say anything like "this is why killers deserve less."
Would I do it again - sure why not? It's just a game and I have no need to judge an entire side of the game based off one person's actions.

They could not know about the gnome, they could not know about you wanting to find it...

Maybe they didn’t know about the Gnome event. Didn’t see it. They thought: ‚oh it’s really nice of the Killer to bring me to the hatch‘
Or they already had the gnome.
also, this was literally one person doing it. Maybe even not a survivor main but they only played survivor because of a daily/challenge or something else.
just… try to be more empathetic? There can be plenty of reasons why they acted like that. And them just being disrespectful to you is one of the more unlikely ones.

Yeah, I had one match where a survivor ran me a for a really good while so I decided to let them go at the door at the end. They headed back in to the basement which was right next to the door so I figured they were just trying to give me the kill so I hooked them up. In post game, it turns out they were trying to grab the item I franklined out of their hands (I forgot I even had that perk on lol). Thankfully they were cool about it and knew it was just a misunderstanding.

That was what my post was saying. 😊Survivors don't know Killer challenges and Killers don't know Survivor challenges. It's hard to relay what you're trying to do if it's not usual gameplay. I wasn't condoning any playstyle or insulting Killers or Survivors for trying something different.
English is not my first language so if 'greed' sounded offensive then perhaps I meant 'excitement' or 'eagerness'. Either way the message about understanding one another remains!

This thread inspired me to give gnomes to my next batch of survivors as a Killer. I got mine and it's definitely time for payback.

I had a feng point out the gnome to me the first game I played when they came out. The following game I pointed them out to the survivors that I was lets say (playing with my food) and one kept walking up to pallets and pointing. I assumed they wanted me to chase and farm and them drop pallets on my head. After the first drop as I went to kick the pallet I noticed she tried to pick the pallet back up to reset it so the next one I let her stun me, reset the pallet and stun me again. I am the same way with those glyphs if I see you stop to get one I might smack you out of reflex but I will reset you to let you get it. Most killers move 100 mph because they have to though they don't have the time to figure out what you are trying to point out to them. Once the game slows down for them I'm sure they can do some of these things.

Survivors often burn Haddonfield offerings so that they know where the gnome is going to be already.
At least that's what the 4man bully squad I faced last night said, in addition to saying that they chose Haddonfield because the totem spawns are all out in the open, and that I was a baby killer for not chasing them as a B tier killer and just farming my power in the street. They also claimed that they weren't a bully squad, despite the fact that they swapped to flashlights at the last second so I wouldn't run Franklins in addition to the whole flagrant 4man smurf squad with a Haddonfield offering.
