this video shows how dumb maps and surv spawns can be
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X92H5oEBIBA the vid
this first match shown in this video shows how dumb the spawns of survs can be, there was nothing to do apart from giving up the gen especially as trickster. Why can surv spawn apart from each other, this just makes the killer job of putting pressure a million times harder. not only do 2 pairs of 2 surv( which isn't even the worst thing btw) spawn from basically the opposite sides of each other he got one of the worst maps in the game for the killer. the map did almost nothing to address its problems, the gens still spawn like a mile away from each other and the map is still the size of the ocean. All the rework did was make it look nicer and make the main building slightly less painful( it still is extremely painful btw)
it's not even gen speed anymore it's the dumb surv and gigantic maps.

I keep being spawned within probably 100 feet of the killer. 7 or 8 matches out of ten I can wander in any direction upon starting the game and hear the terror radius creep in within ten seconds (my record, which I still have video of, is six). I'm so sick of it. Hell with finding a generator, I would at least like to have a chance to actually explore my surroundings for a minute or even get to leave the first room before the killer closes in.

well i mean i think that happens every game i just hate it when the other survivor spawn a whole 10 miles away form the surv i found

As far as I can tell the killers and survivors aren't supposed to be spawning practically within reach of each other. As for survivors spawning all the way on the other side of the map, that doesn't seem to happen to me. They're usually clustered pretty close.

i dint think that's true since at least 1 surv spawn pretty coles to me

That's what I'm saying. In my experience I almost always start pretty close to at least one other survivor, and often all three of them. I assumed that this was the norm. It's the killer also spawning really close that I assume to be unintentional.

This actually happens to me all the ######### time. And I’ve grown sick of it that I’ve completely stopped playing the game.
I’m bored of playing as Killer and being forced into doing so because every daily rite I get is always a Killer rite. I haven’t gotten a single Survivor rite for two entire weeks, even recycling my current one each day. I just want to play Survivor but the rank reset was botched and now I’m stuck with tunnellers, campers, and ‘doing gens, you?’ teammates.

Yeah my worst example was all four survivors spawning against the exit in Gideon's meat plant. We had no direction to go but forward. Literally as we were crossing the threshold to leave the room, Freddy's terror radius started rapidly approaching. Six seconds. Six. And again, this happens to me almost constantly. That one was just the most egregious example. I've actually contacted the devs to let them know that it's happening but I don't think anything will be done about it, especially since it seems that few people actually encounter or notice the issue. But yeah, it sucks. "Okay, so I'm playing in the Red Forest. That's cool, I really like this m- oh okay, time to hide. Oh look, we all scattered and the killer just happened to choose me. Well, I'm down within 30 seconds of the start of the match. This is fun".
The last time I got a survivor ritual was also a couple of weeks ago, I believe it was being chased for 3 minutes as Heather. Since then it's been "down 4 people with Blight's power", "catch 5 people in bear traps", etc. I mean that's alright I guess, I just wish there was more variety. I wonder if everyone gets the same rituals every day or if it's completely randomized for all players.

Thing is that at some point, spawning directly in front of the Killer’s path was really funny. Like this clip.
Nowadays? It’s nearly every singular match that I am being the first person found or chased. It’s to the point I let the Killer kill me straight away because I’m getting sick of being the first one tunnelled out of the match. I actually started running Decisive Strike when it got its rework just to mitigate this stupidity, but the fact Survivors howled for ######### blood just because their cancer perk has been fixed (ie, is not obscenely and gamebreakingly broken) has exacerbated the tunnelling issue all over again.
I love this game and I want to keep playing it, and I want to start enjoying the role I don’t play as often by sheer happenstance because literally everything is trying to force me into the Killer role that I don’t want to play as much anymore. But I can’t enjoy it when I don’t get the chance to play the role I want to play. It’s especially worse now that it can take up to ten minutes to get into a match, into five minutes of loading, and two minutes on the hook into a death, starting all over again, when I oftentimes only have three hours a day three times a week to play, sometimes more if I’m lucky.
At least now I’m finding time to do more than only burning my Resin in Genshin Impact, and playing my PS4 before my Plus subscription runs out next month.

I think this is a much bigger issue than people realise. The amount of swing between 'survivors spawn scattered, far from killer' and 'survivors spawn together, in front of killer' is probably multiple minutes.
It's super frustrating as killer to go for a gen on the other side of the map and it's done before you can get to it, it's super frustrating as survivor to take two steps and be in line of sight of the killer.
Things need fixin'.

I'm just really happy that I'm not the only person that this is happening to. I mean, I don't want to wish it upon anyone else but anytime I've mentioned it people dismissed it with stuff like "the killer SHOULD spawn near the survivors. What do you want, for them to have to walk all the way across the map by the time you've already done three generators"?
It's like "no, I would just like to be able to go more than six to ten seconds before I'm already being chased". And man, I share your frustration of being the first person attacked. I can go slow and stealthy, avoiding the first couple gens altogether, or I can immediately rush for the first gen I see. Doesn't matter. The killer will find me, and quickly, and as per his or her contract go directly for me regardless of how many other survivors are surrounding me. It has happened so many times I've honestly questioned whether I've accidentally equipped some kind of item or something that makes me a more visible, desirable target.
As someone who has experienced both of these situations many times, I wholeheartedly agree.

Man, my survivors are always on the other side of the map, 100% of the time. I've been told by survivors that it felt like they spawned next to me, but in every case I know for a fact they were nowhere near me because I tend to run Aura perks and/or play Killers who can move quickly, plus as an experienced Killer I know to immediately run to the furthest gens because if I do anything else at all that gen is gone before I even see a survivor.
Survivors always think Killers are camping or that they spawned right next to them or whatever excuse, but really its because playing Killer forces you to learn how to predict survivor movements. I am not camping when I know your buddy is over there behind that rock waiting to rush in for the save the second i'm far enough away; they are camping and i'm making the logical play. Killers are not stupid, we are not bots and the good ones are not there to make sure you have fun; they are there to win, by any means necessary and make sure they have fun. So if you're losing a lot as a Survivor, it's a 'you' problem, not a 'Killer OP' problem. Do not get sucked into the limited mindset where you only run meta perks. Be clever, be unpredictable. When you run the same build and play the same way as every other Survivor who slavishly obeys their favorite streamer you open yourself up to being countered by Killers used to seeing those tactics.
If you really want to be a great Survivor, play Killer too. Learn how they work, what they can and can't do, what their perks are. Reach Rank 1 as Killer and play there as Killer for a season or two and you will learn the game. If you don't learn and improve, you will just lose a lot, get frustrated and either quit or go back to survivor.

True but I’m on mobile. Thanks for the tip though I’ll be sure to do that if I ever post a video on the forums from my PC.

It could have been absolutely even worse, all survivors spawning separatedly and starting to work in 3 different gens.
Otz had the luck that they spawned in 2 and 2 because else they could have done 2, or even 3 gens if Felix wasn't dumb enough to throw the first chase like that.
