Why do the devs refuse to fix hitboxes?
It has gotten to the point where I feel like vaulting anything is actually a bad idea because even if you are completely on the other side and starting to run away you will still get hit most of the time. Hell I have had killers get hits through the floor if I’m vaulting out a window to drop down. There is 0 reason the devs shouldn’t have this fixed by now.

More than hitboxes, isn't ping which cause weird hit?

It's not hitboxes you're complaining about, it's the servers
DBD has dedicated servers, however often times when you get hit through something its because the killer's game shows you being closer than you actually are. I think its designed to favor killers due to them originally starting lobbies when it was P2P.

Because they're fine?
Latency is the issue; one that effects both sides at that.

Not true, the authority is The Killer. Outside of really high ping and I think they're overly generous with this figure, hit validation doesn't kick in and so whatever The Killer sees is what prevails. Hit Validation could be helpful if they were more conservative with the tolerable values of latency. I've personally been in matches and struck from incredible distances and then watch the streamer's perspective and even they were shocked to get a hit.

Hit validation is server sided. So it doesn´t favor the killer nor the survivor. When the system sees that a hit would have hit on both ends, then it goes through.
In other words, you got dedicated.

Hitboxes aren't the problem. It's ping issues, meaning a server-side issue. The problem is that Killers with high ping are prioritized, which isn't how it was designed (or so they say it wasn't, they explicitly stated it doesn't favor any sides).

Grabs haven't worked since forever, survivors teleport away when you down them, and certain killers such as Doctor get cucked hard by latency letting survivors vault even while they're shocked.
Latency effects both sides.

That's because some pallets become invincibility zones if the killer doesn't break them, and a hefty bit of lag thrown in there as well. The hitboxes are not broken, based on the developers' vision for the game.

The only actual hit-box I have an issue with is the one associated with huntress hatchets.
I swear half of those things don't even hit, and get mildly frustrated that a thin hatchet has the hit box of a giant beach volleyball.

Btw bikini beach volleyball skin for huntress when?

I was referring to hits and validation, the point of the discussion. Hits are killer sided whereas those other interactions aren't. And that's just normal latency on the Doctor, for the Survivor they were likely never shocked or already began the vault animation and locked into it. I know with other games the person that tells the server what happened first has their actions prevail and maybe dbd works like this except hits of course.

The best way to see how bad the servers truly are. Get chased by a killer with Franklin's, have them down you and then see how far back your item drops compared to your body.

Hit-boxes are (mostly) fine.
Dedicated servers is what make hits look wonky. They need better servers.

Not hitboxes
