20.Which new maps do you believe lost a lot of their quality because of breakable walls?
3 -
I'm pretty late but I'm so glad we are getting another one of these!
3 -
I'm glad you are still going, and I think Pulsar is a worthy addition. You can always shake things up with totally off the wall questions. :)
4 -
Midwich, Dead Dawg, The Game and MacMillan come to mind.
5 -
21.You've already explained Dead Dawg. But how have these maps been more messed up by breakable walls then others?
3 -
The Game makes hallways where the Survivors are trapped if they drop a pallet and blocks mobility around the map.
Midwich has several really good loops that you NEED to break the wall on.
And MacMillan maps use breakable walls to justify infinites. Upstairs in the Ironworks and the Groaning Storehouse window come to mind.
4 -
22.What can be done to turn it around and make them more enjoyable and balanced in gameplay?
4 -
Make them like the Preschool walls in Badham. Benefit to leaving them and a benefit to breaking them.
Or redesign them so that Survivors can sacrifice a pallet to build a wall.
5 -
23.The realm beyond is likely gonna be finished soon. Yet there is still criticism of the maps of still be grossly one sided one of these is Badham. It is criticized as still be hugely favored for survivor. There was one setup where it was the house of pain into a good pallet into shack into a good pallet into the two story house. I've discovered. While other maps are also still hugely criticized Shelter Woods should've had something added to the center and many maps will spawn many dead zones. Have the devs done a poor job changing the old maps and should they consider changing them again later on?
4 -
I believe so.
Badham and Shelter Woods are both pretty awful, depending on RNG
5 -
24. Do you believe for the anniversary the devs should add a new map but still add a reworked one?
4 -
I'd like them too, but I'd honestly rather have a new map at this point
5 -
25. Of the remaining reworked maps which do you believe should be done first?
4 -
Haddonfield.
4 -
26. You did mention when playing survivor it's your favorite map how do you believe the devs made this map a balanced nightmare? And how has it been able to stay this way for so long?
4 -
Almost every pallet is safe and the houses are ultra safe.
I suspect they can't change it too much because of the license, but Idk for sure
5 -
27. Do you believe Hawkins qualifies for a rework?
4 -
Absolutely.
It's a boring experience for everyone
6 -
Let's move on to killers
28.Many killers are critiqued as boring but they have counterplay. A killer called boring but also unfair is Spirit. Unlike many she has been relatively unchanged despite the fact that the whole community seem to hate her. Many calls are to nerf her even by the top content creators. With critique of no counterplay since the survivor has no clue what she's doing. And often the people who defend her give little actual description of what they call counterplay. Do you believe Spirit needs major changes and what could be don to do this?
3 -
I do not believe she needs major changes.
She just needs a tell when she's phasing. My suggestion has always been to add passive phasing, so she flickers in and out of reality while phasing. That would give the Survivors more info (and destroy the stand-still mindgame) without butchering her power.
4 -
29.What would you tell the people who say Spirit does have fair counterplay?
2 -
I wouldn't even entertain them.
If they can't see that Spirit is an issue, then it's unlikely anything I could say would change their minds.
6 -
30. What other killers do you believe need a huge change?
2 -
Legion, Twins and my controversial pick, Demogorgon.
3 -
31.Legion is often described as boring just a mending simulator. As well weak with a power that is countered by basic survivor rules. What is your proposed changes?
2 -
I honestly have no idea.
He needs his whole power scrapped and turned into something more skillful and enjoyable.
2 -
32.Twins are also described as too good at slugging and camping but they have to or they suck. What's your proposed change for Twins?
2 -
Give Charlotte her own ability so that nerfing Victor's slugging/camping abilities doesn't make them garbage.
Maybe give her a speed boost when Victor is attached.
2 -
33.Demo before the buffs was called underwhelming. But with buffs everyone say he's high up now with buffed base and add-ons. But why do you think he needs a change?
2 -
He's the 2nd lowest picked Killer for a reason.
it isn't because he's bad, it's because he's boring. He doesn't do anything unique.
2 -
34.Temporarily off topic it's Nemesis, Leon S Kennedy, an Jill Valentine for Resident Evil and it seems Racoon City are you happy with the choices?
1 -
Yes, I am very pleased.
I'd like to see the perks though.
NOT happy about the new report system. Seems like you get auto-banned if you receive enough reports.
3 -
35.Anything else in the announcements that you believe are important?
2 -
The lack of addressing the massive issues with Console
6 -
36.Any idea why console issues aren't being fixed? And how big of a mistake has it been for the devs to ignore it?
4 -
If I had to take a guess, it's probably because the amount of effort they had to put in was too much.
In my humble opinion, it's the biggest mistake they've made so far. It's highly likely that Xbox + PlayStation make up the majority of the playerbase. BHVR has essentially told them that they need to spend 800 USD in order to play the game in a more acceptable state.
4 -
37.You recently said how poor optimization makes it hard to enjoy console many times how many players do you believe have been lost due to poor optimization?
3 -
Countless considering how many abilities freeze the game on Console.
4 -
38.How harshly has the new graphics affected consoles?
5 -
Would you arm wrestle me just to hold my hand?
4 -
Honestly, I haven't seen much of a difference, except on Lery's.
4 -
Preach!
3 -
39. Do you believe it's a high priority to get keyboard available for console?
2 -
I think it would be a nice gesture, but it wouldn't matter if Console players are still treated as second-class customers and expected to deal with the terrible state of the game.
5 -
40.We are gonna circle back to Demogorgon what can be done to make him unique?
1 -
Completely redesign him.
Make him a blend of Old Freddy, where he can pull Survivors into the Upside-Down and the ways they can get out are through Demo's Portals, a main Portal and through other Survivors who fade in and out like Spirit's passive phasing. Survivors in the Upside-Down are highlighted by Killer Instinct every 10 seconds and Survivors suffer from a moderate repair speed debuff.
Also, allow his Portals to expand and corrupt the surrounding environment, giving them a bigger AOE and more area denial.
Then, allow him to drag a gen into the Upside-Down once per game. This can be used to make a HARD 3-gen or for early game pressure.

41.Are other killers painfully not unique?
3 -
Freddy comes to mind
1 -
42.We're gonna wrap this up but final question is DBD heading in the right direction? If so how do they keep it up if not how do they fix it?
1 -
I think in some ways it is.
It's becoming more accessible to more people, but it isn't being very kind to players who've been around for a long time.
