Injured Survivors arent getting Downed When attacked while Injured?

Trying my hand out as killer, and I'm playing Legion. Fun and all--until I noticed something kinda odd? It may be perfectly normal, I'm still new, but here's the rub:

When I play as survivor, if im bleeding out and im hurt what have you, it just takes one good ol stab or poke from the killer to completely down me and they can just pick me up--makes sense, right? As far as I know theres healthy, injured, dying. Thats it?

Yet here I am playing as legion, and I have to literally stab someone THREE TIMES before they go down?! Is he just extremely NERFED in the stabbing department? This seems incredibly kinda busted. I was chasing a survivor and I literally went into frenzy, stabbed her TWICE--and somehow she is STILL RUNNING and able to escape? Like is there something I'm missing? Like I know I'm landing hits because the survivor literally screams, I know it's landing. I just dont see how every single survivor takes 3 hits before they get downed so I can pick them up, yet when I'm playing as survivor, if I'm in a weakened state, thats it--one hit and I'm downed.

Second, how do players just simply VANISH mid chase? Like I can admit, I'm 100% new, like only 30 hours, but I'm literally ON them, stabbed them twice, then they turn a corner and are COMPLETELY GONE. No scratch marks, cant hear anything, no whimpering, GONE. Like.... HOWWW? I'm so lost dude. It's so hard to play this game when everyone is like god-tier already it seems

You cannot down survivors with Legions Frenzy. That'd be extremely busted since you're faster than them and can jump over pallets and windows.

Frenzy hit is to injure multiple survivors within a short timeframe, but you have to hit them while not using Frenzy to down them.

Edit: The disappearing thing could be perks like Iron Will, Lucky Break and other perks that help you escape killers.

If you are in Frenzy, you will not be able to down Survivors.

You MUST cancel Frenzy in order to put a Survivor into the Dying state

ahhhh OK this makes SO much more sense lol. i was like scratching my head and literally looking at my knife like 'AM I HOLDING A SPOON?"

Haha, no worries. They used to be able to take down people while using Frenzy, but quickly got removed due to survivors literally not being able to do anything to escape. Windows and pallets are all they've got to try to escape a killer and a Legion in Frenzy can just ignore that.

Also scratchmarks and blood trails disappear while you are using your Frenzy power, I just remembered, so that's probably why you have a hard time tracking.

    Those were not fun times.

Legion was simultaneously OP and hilariously weak.

OH WELL GOSH DANG LOL. im just shooting myself in the foot! lol, tysm for the tips :) ill try to work this into my gameplay. he looked fun so i bought a few killers like him, and pyramid head, trickster and michael. ill have to play a few more killers to see which one best suits me. i do like chasing as legion but ill have to be way more picky how i use his frenzy lol, i can barely keep track of these slippery survivors

Yeah, playerbase took a huge hit when it took them like months to nerf them. Trickster kinda reminds me of them. Fun to play as, not fun to play against and he's weak but kinda busted.

Legion is definitely a fun first killer to play! Though his power doesn't help with anything but getting the first hit on survivors, the downing hit you'll have to do without the power. He's one of the only killers whose power doesn't help him down survivors, but it's extremely good at getting the first. He's had quite the history. Getting released and considered weak but busted at the same time, plenty of exploits to abuse, nerfed to the ground, then buffed a bit, then nerfed a bit, then buffed a bit and now he's here, in like lower middle tier. Good at destroying noobs, but bad against good players. XD Good luck wit learning the game though!

im having a lot of fun as him, despite being comically terrible. but these tips are good to know! i read the character info and none of this was mentioned in the abilities so im glad i at least know better lol.

idk if the dbd gods were smiling upon me, maybe i learned how to paly, or maybe the survivors were SUPER BAD, but i just got my first win just now! i did my best to make sure i didn't tunnel or camp either, like if i hooked i just walked away and went to go find more survivors, and if someone gave me the slip i just let em go--but i was still able to win! super excited! still trying to find a work around for that headache they give him when he comes out of his frenzy lol, timing is key it seems!

Not much you can do about the headache, it's meant to blurr your vision a bit and help survivors escape. The stun is like 4 seconds long (too long imo), but awe man! Congrats on the win. I am happy for you! (:

Weak, definitely, but I don't think Trickster is "kinda busted". He's countered by almost every tile in the game if ran correctly, and landing knives against smart survivors is difficult with any degree of speed. It's not like old Legion where you could just run up to them and stab and you WILL inevitably go down, you can delay it for a ludicrous amount of time by making distance and hugging walls. Not to mention the pretty sizeable amount of LOS blockers combined with his 4.4m/s speed letting you decay some knives without him being able to do anything, and his limited ammo and spread, and I think people are just overexaggerating.

At low wall loops his power is nigh-uncounterable, but like, so is every ranged killer. And Myers. Just leave the loop and go to a jungle gym or something and now Trickster is a 4.4m/s M1 killer. He might down you eventually, but so will any killer if they commit long enough.
