1 Day Remains - What is the Resident Evil Chapter?
One day left, one day until we're given first sight into the new Resident Evil chapter and its trailer.
This thread here? Why it's to do some last-day speculation in regards to what will be brought to the game. Who do you guys think will be getting that Killer slot? What about the survivor slots? What will the map be?
Well, it's time to speculate here and now before we see the trailer drop tomorrow. One day remains, after all. Let's make it count.

I'm expecting the killer to be Nemesis, but I personally really hope it's Jack Baker. (Especially since I'll lose a bet if it isn't.)

If the pyramid head "clue" was any hint, I'd say it's one of the witches(daughters?) of the big boob vampire lady. Idk I never played any of them, but they carry a scythe that's very similar to the stylized 5 in the teaser.

I only played RE4, and it was like a decade ago. I don't even remember the villain at the end. (Sorry, I'm not a RE fan.) But I would like Leon as a Survivor, he's the only one I know. XD
I expect two Survivors (one female and one male) with legendary skins (so we can play more than one character, like Lisa and Cybil for Silent Hill).
I think I'll get a notification from YouTube when the live starts, but someone can reminds me the time? I do hope it's in the morning, as it would mean it'd be in the end of the afternoon in my country so after I've done my missions of the day.

I am actually a bit more intrigued by the line "novel ways to sacrifice or survive inspired by the renowned franchise", maybe it's nothing big but could be a new mechanic which would be interesting.
Otherwise I am hoping for Leon, and for killer Nemesis but also fine Mr X or even Wesker.

Survivors: Leon and Claire
- Reason: The Resident Evil 2 remake is still fairly recent. While Chris and Jill came first, making Leon and Claire the primary survivors would be most familiar to players new to DBD, but that have played the RE2 remake. I absolutely believe other characters will be added as legendaries though.
Killer: Nemesis
- Reason: He's just the most iconic Bioweapon of the series. The RE3 remake is even more recent and shows that his status as an icon to the series has not aged a bit.
- Between his relentless nature, use of advanced weapons, and the ability to impale people with his tentacles it just gives him the most potential for an awesome power.
- Since the RE3 remake is still so new, his new model would be fairly simple to integrate into the game.
Map: Spencer Mansion
- Reason: I am fairly confident in my assumptions for the killer and survivor, and I believe they would want to add content from the original RE as well to have representation for the first three games, just like they did with Silent Hill.
- The Spencer Mansion gives them the most creative freedom to design around since it so byzantine and has many secret pathways that could be integrated into DBD.
- Excluding GhostFace, the 3 most recent licensed killer chapters have all gotten indoor maps
- TONS of room for easter eggs
Can't wait to see if I'm right or wrong! Either way, I'm excited!

I don't know your timezone, but based on what you said I'm guessing that'll probably be late at night, not during during the afternoon.

There will definitely be a new map. There's no way they'd snag a huge license like this (for TWO anniversaries, no less) and NOT have a map.

Just to throw my hat in the ring, I'm hoping to see Jill and Leon as the survivors and, of course, Nemesis as the killer.
Also, I don't want to get anyone up in arms but... according to certain rumors there's, apparently, no new map found within the code. That said though, I TRULY hope there's a new map in here because going over a year without any new maps included is just, woof and not only just that but not getting a RE location would be a BIG missed opportunity. If we do get a map, it'll probably be either the Spencer Mansion or the RPD.

i really hope this chapter gets a map and especially because it's freaking "RESIDENT EVIL",i think Nemesis will be the killer,in which case i believe,Jill will be one of the survivors since Nemesis wanted to kill all members from the STARS team in RE3,and the other one might be Leon

If there's no map for Resident Evil of all things, I'd not only be ashamed in Capcom for not being forceful about it's inclusion, but I just flat out won't buy the chapter.
I understand not doing new original maps, but it's just ridiculous to overlook making one for a huge license in order to hamfist these graphical updates in, especially when they didn't even do 2 realms this last update.

They said no new maps until current ones have been reworked. Still got 3 left, so they would be going against there word.

I'm pretty sure they have less control over that aspect when it comes to negotiating licenses. All chapters since Realm Beyond have been original, where as Capcom may require one to be made in order to grant them the rights.

Considering the chapter's supposed to have new ways to sacrifice Survivors and have iconic characters, I think it's very likely that the Killer will be Nemesis because he fulfills both of those. He has an alternative way of killing (infection) and is iconic. Out of the most commonly requested Killers (Mr. X, Nemesis, Jack Baker, and Lady Dimitrescu), he is the only one with an alternative method of killing that can't just be turned into a Mori.
As for the Survivors, I think we'll get one male and one female. Jill would be an obvious pick because of her history with Nemesis. Chris or Leon is my guess for the male Survivor. Chris could work because of his appearance in RE8 and him and his history with Jill. Leon could also work if the devs want to do a combo chapter and have characters from RE1, 2, and 3. All three of these characters are also iconic.

The survivors would most likely be Leon and Jill since they're both from classic separate titles.
The killer would probably be Nemesis.
Map will likely be Raccoon City police department. They're probably saving a mansion map for their own original chapter.

When it comes to speculation as to what the chapter will be...there is what I want and what I think it will be....which are both different.
What I want it to be is:
Survivors: Chris and Claire Redfield. Just really want a a pair of siblings brought into The Entity's realms.
Killer: Nemesis. He is just my favorite killer from the franchise.
Map: Racoon City Streets. Really want a good city location for a map.
As for what I think it could actually be...there are 2 possible ways this could go. Either a focus on the first few games that started the series...or an amalgamation of the different "eras" of Resident Evil
Possibility 1:
Survivor: Claire (RE2.) Just her, as the line given during the Resident Evil Stream points to her
Killer: Nemesis (RE3.) He is an an iconic character and the reason I am not saying Mr. X is cause there is no way they will make a Resident Evil chapter to highlight the franchise and ONLY contain content from JUST Resident Evil 2.
Map: Racoon City Police Department (RE 2&3.) It is probably the most iconic location from the series.
With this Possibility I honestly think the focus will be around Resident Evil 2 & 3.
Possibility 2:
Survivor: Leon and/or Claire. Leon from RE4, and/or Claire from Revelations 2.
Killer: Jack Baker from Resident Evil 7.
Map: Racoon City Police Department from Resident Evil 2 & 3.
With this possibility, I think they could go with an amalgamation of the different eras of Resident Evil. By eras I mean...The Zombie Era consisting of Resident Evil 1, 2,3, Code Veronica, etc. The Parasite Era consisting of Resident Evil 4, 5, 6, Revelations 1 & 2, etc. And the newest era (Mold Era???) which consists so far of RE7 and Village. I use 'Eras' as a way to group up the different sections of Resident Evil's story.
