It depends on how you phonetically pronounce the letters though. People will see this and think I'm trying to say that her name rhymes with "Bong Lean" (I'm not). In Chinese the syllables wouldn't be drawn out like that, they'd be closer together, her name would be spoken more quickly. It's a subtle but noticeable difference.
For example the classic "Ryu" isn't "Righ You", it's "Reu", with the "e" almost silent. So maybe a better way of writing it out would be "FaungMin", with a sharp "i" like the i in "being", as opposed to a dull i like in the word "disc".
Accurately pronouncing Asian names is difficult, they have different emphasis and inflection. The famed Three Kingdoms general Cao Cao, for example, is pronounced "T'sao T'sao" with the tongue in a different place for the "T"s as it would be if saying "trip".

The question was "Do you know what a transliteration is?", which is a simple yes/no question. What you asked (because that's a question, despite mistakenly having a period at the end) is not an answer to the question, nor any other question I've asked.

Then you're aware that transliterations are not perfect, particularly when they're from east Asian languages into English. "Feng" is simply a bad transliteration of the original, Mandarin name; it should be "Fung", or close to it.
That's why we need to use IPA when discerning how to pronounce a transliterated word, instead of relying on the (usually poor) quality of the transliteration itself.

Then if they change it to fung I'll call her that but it's feng so I'll call her feng.

You can call her whatever you want. Fung is still spelled like Feng. Just because you want every word to be spelled how it sounds, doesn't make you correct.

Basic English language says that f.e.n.g is pronounced feng so yes I am correct.

The thread has been answered now a few times how it'd be pronounced correctly if you wish to do so. People provided videos how to say it too. This thread has derailed a bit and keeps going back and forth, so it's being locked.
