Part 7: How would you feel about Alien in dbd
Since last time we looked at predator I thought we should look at its more horror-based, insectoid counter part the Alien. And just to b clear I'm talking about the original Alien film.

I love the design of the Alien. It's also more horror based than predator so it would probably work better.

One of my most looked forward to licenses. Out of everything I don't think there's anything that would have me more excited. Maybe a Friday the 13th chapter because of how significant that license is, but there's so little of Sci-Fi Horror in Dead By Daylight I think it would be great to explore it through licenses and killers like the Xenomorph, The Predator, or The Thing.

The Xenomorph is an animal going on instincts. The Entity cannot take something that it can't control. (Our Demogorgon may or may not be controlled by the Entity instead of the Mindflayer.)

Pretty sure Xenomorphs are shown to not solely act on instincts. They are way smarter than that. Also they are kinda controlled by the queen and the Entity could use that.

If they do, predator has to get in on the action as well. I don't think either license is hard to obtain, looking at how successful dbd has been doing these past 5 years.

I mean that the damn xenomorphs are way bigger, badder and scarier than anything else in this game and it would be super lame and dissapointing to just have one be ridiculously weak and slow with no explaination just to fit into dbd.
So either they lean heavily into the entity holding it back to give the survivors a fighting chance, actively forcing it to hook people and so on, or it's just massively dissapointing.

Alien would be the scariest killer in Dead By Daylight. I have never been more stressed out in my life when I played Alien Isolation. Alien is what Dead By Daylight needs.

It could have a MS higher than 4.6. And could have a sprint and/or leap ability. Demogorgon is immune to bullets and is supposed to be able to run on all four and they made him work. He should be faster than every other Killer and he isn't. They could make it work.

I love the first three (yes, I said three) Alien films with a furious passion. I am proud to have my terrified Hudson NECA figure standing proudly next to the brown xeno figure that was released within the last year or so. Ask me which of the three (yep, three) films I like most and the answer will depend on the day of the week.
Can I imagine a Nostromo map with Ripley, Dallas and Parker running around corridors and vents fleeing from the creature? Oh, HELL yes.
I can't say that I want it definitively though. As much as I love these movies, I have to be objective and admit that I can't see anything that I just described fitting very well with the rest of the game. Nea, Dwight, Ash and Jane on the Nostromo against Leatherface? Huh? Ripley in Midwich? The xenomorph in Haddonfield?

Ever since Demo's release, I've been interested in the possibility of another 'monstrous' killer. Blight got kinda close to that but not really. I've never watched any of the Alien movies because I'm a wimp but I think it could be interesting to see Alien in the game.

I liked the first two Alien films, but I'm not really big on either of them. They were just okay as far as I'm concerned.
I did play, and absolutely loved, Alien: Isolation. But Alien as a franchise doesn't really appeal to me.
I wouldn't hate to see an Alien chapter in DbD, but I don't think I'd buy it either.
Well, not unless it comes with some drastically meta-changing perks or a really fun Killer power.
