Question to those who have a legit Legacy skin

How long did it take you to get those skins?

Cause I heard that the Bloodweb was much, much more grindier than the current one.

Well my first achievement was on the 24th of June, 2016, so that's when I started.

My Prestige 1 achievement was on the 10th of July, Prestige 2 on the 29th of October, and Prestige 3 on the 20th of November. For reference, the Legacy cut off was on the 24th of November.

Of course, I wasn't putting dozens of hours into the game per week, and was probably spreading my levels between all my characters, not just Jake (who is the only one I have a full set of Legacy on).

Yes, the old Bloodweb was way worse than the current one. A level 15 Bloodweb back then is probably roughly equivalent to a level 40 Bloodweb now in size, and you could only get one perk per level to boot.

Here’s a YouTube video from 2016 that explains the bloodweb from back then. We can see all the issues with it compared to now:

For reference the YTer started with 300k bloodpoints and was at a little over 100k by Rank Seven.

It was excessively difficult to progress. It was expensive, based on not the rarity of the items, but on how far out the circle the item was on. AND this was before barbecue and WGLF came out.

Also there have been several adjustments to bloodpoints in the last two years to make acquiring bloodpoints easier for survivors.

Theres more issues but this is a great introduction to why Legacy is held in regard.

Don't have legacy anymore, but... these are my prestige achievements:

I played absolutely non stop, sometimes staying up all night and day. Was very addicted to the game... and still am. The above achievements are all just to get one character to P3 (Claudette). I also managed to squeeze in P3 for Hillbilly just before the legacy deadline. I believe I got him to P3 on the 23rd of November 2016.

Damn, Botany Knowledge Tier 1 for 8.000 BP. Yep, can definitely understand how Legacy got its status.

I think it took me two weeks

    Can't really remember 😂

I'm guessing two weeks, but that's all it is, a guess, since I don't play on Steam anymore, and I don't remember by heart.

But I also play longer per day than most. Think maybe 7-10 hours per day. Right now, I can get a single prestige in two days. But back then it was much more bloodpoints, and BBQ wasn't out yet( I ONLY of played killer, and played almost exclusively Nurse.)

So I'll say two weeks from when I learned how to use the bloodweb.

It took a long time. My first prestige character (p3) was a nurse, then worked on a Nea, finally rushed Trapper to p3.

It took many late night hours of grinding while using the last week of doubled BP gain to finish it.

On top of very slow BP gains and only offerings gave bonus points and they were laughable, best was +75% in that category and back it bonus covered it cost just barely, progressing the blood web took ages to deplete 1 million of BP (almost an hour). It was also more extensive and multiple perks per blood web weren't a thing. Most levels 1-10 didn't have any perks in them either and were of the size of current lvl 25-35.

    It was a bad grind.

    Was it worth it?

Hmm, I haven't used a legacy skin since early 2017...

I only have full legacy on hillbilly, and then they murdered him! 😥 Only shirts and weapons for a couple of other killers/ survivors because i did what you were supposed to do and spread out my points.
