How large are we expecting the Freddy rework to be?

What the devs have called "rework" so far have never completely changed the killer's power (made some addons part of base kit for Doctor and Wraith, took away the self-stun after teleporting for Hag).
But man, I gotta tell ya, Freddy's power feels nothing like Freddy. The Freddy I knew was a tormenting, immaterial god in his own dream realm, warping around, phasing through walls, and shape shifting. The only time he ran in a direct line to his victims is when he was screwing with them right before he went in for the kill in some elaborate, trickster manner. In that sense, Spirit and Nurse both play more like what I'd expect Freddy to play like.
I won't even get started on Amanda (her traps should be her primary means of killing, she's never even used the dumb retractable blade, her not being strong enough to carry an adult was a MAJOR plot point in the movies) but between Freddy, Myers, and Leatherface, it seems like his gameplan would be the least likely to be "run at you until I'm in range for a mouse 1 attack" yet that's exactly what he does in this game.
TL;DR - Let Freddy briefly phase through a wall.

Freddy won't be making it to Prime Time if that's what you're asking.

He feels great to me thematically. Just needs no interaction for survivors during dream transition except saves/pallets/windows and SC to not wake you up. Also, slightly shorter dream transition. Boom, that's all he needs.

Replace him with Jason

I just wish survivors were also constantly falling asleep rather than requiring Freddy to put them to sleep.

Freddy will be the first killer who receives a real rework, at least thats what the devs told us.
They want to rework how his power works (we dont know the plans yet), not just tweaking some numbers0 -
He needs a complete change, narcolepsy is not Freddy's power1

It will probably be as game changing as the first Wraith rework dubbed "The Wraith Cube"

I don’t know but I really hope they change how the map appears for him. I really didn’t like how I as the killer am permanently at a disadvantage by being in the dream world when survivors can see and navigate normally until they’re put to sleep.
I used a splinter offering and I had the exact opposite experience of when I used a Myers offering, I really liked how Michael worked even with no perks and I bought him immediately after.0 -

They'll probaby not make him better than Nurse like he used to be.

Considering his character is tormenting people before he kills them, I really think a passive affect of the Dream State should be fake pallets, and maybe an add on that boards up some vault spaces as well in the Dream World. And this from a guy who hates going against a Freddy because he's already a little difficult for me to deal with.
With how easy it is to wake up, I'd also lessen the time it takes to make them fall asleep from seven seconds to five.

I'm not expecting anything bigger than what the Doctor got back in the day, but I'd prefer they make a completely new killer out of him. Freddy has no interesting mechanics, arguably doesn't even have a power, all he does is tag people and then chase normally, and his power hurts him more than it helps him. Despite all this he's not fun to play against because it's difficult to hide and impossible to escape, forcing a genrushing and looping playstyle out of the survivors and a tunneling or slugging playstyle out of Freddy.
And thematically he doesn't really embody Freddy either. He has no power once he brings people into the dream world, his world, which for some reason just has some fog. They could have at least given it the boiler room effect.0 -

Freddy needs heavy, heavy reworking. Pretty much a complete redesign from the ground up.
I'm no game designer and I'm also not a Nightmare on Elm Street fanatic, so I wouldn't know how to tweak him. But pretty much anything would be better than what we have now.0 -
