RIP Starbreeze

BHVR taking sides on community disputes is going to be one of the worst choices this company has ever made. This will cause a massive divide, and through the fighting people will lose interest and faith in the developers and the game as a whole. Not saying the game will die, there are too many people being drawn in with flashy licenses and brand-new player based balancing.

It's disgusting to see BHVR will happily USE a streamer for free advertising for years, and drop them as soon as they feel they don't need them anymore or don't agree with the "positive narrative" of the game.

This business model of using streamers for free advertising has allowed BHVR to fund 700+ employees, off a game that would have failed miserably without their attention, just like Deathgarden and Naughty Bear. And when BHVR feels they are too big to go out of business they get political with who they include in their dog whisperer program. Censoring anyone who may share a different opinion than the horde of cheek kissers that have "supported" the positive narrative BHVR wants for their game. Even going as far as to use baseless claims to cut out one of their biggest advertisers, just to virtue signal to the community that they "defend the disabled"... How Brave... Or maybe it was just an excuse to kick someone out that truly criticized their poorly designed game.

The damage has already been done and people hopefully now can see what has been behind BHVR all along. A greedy, monopoly abusing, virtue signaling, lazy team of mediocre UE-Blueprint developers that got lucky that Starbreeze ever allowed them to sit at a computer desk in the first place. And when things hit the fan, they side with those who will worship them no matter what, not those who truly critique and care about the game that pays their bills like True or Dowsey.

RIP Starbreeze, you kept these people in check. Your game will be missed, BHVR ruined it as soon as you left and still do to this day.

Goodbye.
