I've looked at Steam profiles of people who have more than 10,000 hours in this game.

...Then again this game does have something of a toxic community, so...XD

I was honestly astonished when I saw it. I wouldn't have believed it had I not seen the actual numbers with my own eyes.

Granted, there are games I've played off and on all my life, ever since I was a kid 30 years ago. Zelda, Final Fantasy IV, Maniac Mansion, Super Mario 3, etc etc etc. And there are also games that I've pumped loads of time into, such as GTA V. But I'd say that GTA V / online is probably the one I've spent the most time on in total and that one stands at like 1,000 hours or less. So yeah, I mean, I love this game but I find it difficult to imagine spending the equivalent of more than a literal year with a controller in my hands playing the exact same game. That's more than a solid year with no sleep, no eating, no leaving the house, no bathroom breaks. That's more than a year of doing literally NOTHING but playing this one game, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
