Getting Married With Some DBD Flair!

Hey guys, after putting off getting married for a good 11 (!) years, me and my fiance are finally getting married! We both play a ton of DBD together and after asking if he'd like to get married on October 31st, he thought it would awesome. We've started planning and are going to include some DBD elements into our decor, but most likely into our outfits as well. I'm waffling on what exactly I would like to wear, so I figured I'd ask the community! For reference, he's decided on cosplaying Jeff's formal attire (the one with the red dress-shirt). I'm waffling between a bunch of ideas, so here they are.

  1. Susie-I have her purple Fairview outfit that I made a couple years ago already. Thought it might make for a good laugh and fun photos (dragging a downed Jeff to the altar? Oh yeah!)
  2. Cheryl Mason-Huge Silent Hill fan here and an easy costume (and no wig needed, huzzah!),
  3. A more traditional dress with DBD/horror themed color pallet and details.

If you have any input, other cool ideas, or curious about what other plans I'm cooking up, I'd love to talk about it!

Also if i would do a DbD themed marriage, i wouldnt cosplay someone but instead create 2 new survivors/killers based of you and your partner. I think that would be much better and cooler.

    Congratulations!!!

Bloody party streamers sound cool and maybe the wedding cake being an escape cake would fit for the DBD themed wedding! Congratulations once again!

Congrats to you both! And personally I think the black nurse wedding dress skin would be the best considering...it's...a wedding.

But out of the options that you listed I'd have to go with cheryl since I'm also a silent hill fan.

I'm not great at decoration or fashion or anything of the sorts but I wanna stop by to say congratulations!! I hope it lasts and you're both happy!

Congratulations to the upcoming wedding!! No suggestions from me really, but I could definitely see DBD inspired clothing though that is incorporated into the outfits!

Decorative garland with bloodpoints/different kind of perks hanging of off them maybe?

Just wanted to say thank you so much for all the kind words everyone, it really means a lot to me. <3

I think I have a great way to incorporate the bloody party streamers. I am going to build a canopy frame for over the guest seating (planning for outdoors, hopefully weather cooperates!). Along the isles, some Spirit inspired glowing haunted lanterns, then drape the BPS across from isle to outer side.

Cake wise, I'm going to do a test run on an idea I have for the 5th Anniversary contests. It's also going to be modeled after the Spirit and is going to be Blue Velvet cupcakes with a toasted meringue top and bloodied sugar glass. I have done an escape cake in the past though, so it's an option I will keep that in my back pocket!

This is all going to be a ton a work, so I'll have to see how ambitious I'll be, but I have always wanted to make a Sacrificial Hook. I could form the archway out of two of them, but that one's gonna be a biiiig maybe.

I will totally keep you guys posted with progress pics if you like! And here's some pics of us and the stuff I've made and will incorporate.

    Congrats!

It couldn’t be a Wedding with DBD elements without some hex totems for sure.

As for your cosplay, I’d say go with something that will compliment his cosplay. So maybe something like Kate’s dress or even Meg’s rift dress. Since you said your hair looks like Cheryls you could definitely pull this hairstyle as well!

    Just an idea 😄

I don't know if I could pull it off, but that Meg's outfit is so classy and I love it!

I totally am going to spend some time thinking about what twisted crafting Susie would put into her wedding outfit. If something good comes of it, I will totally enter it in the next community contest!

The killer is already here. 😈

First off, Congratulations. We might get you the whole roster of killers to show up, maybe get Mcote, we'll just have to see. Also you might like it if PH to show up

    First of all, Congratulations!

I think I'm personally liking the idea of #3, traditional dress with a horror palette! I'm just visualizing now an idea of a blood point bouquet; craft flower stems (maybe spray painted black), with little foam blood point triangles as part of the bloom (easy would be pre-colored red foam, or more advanced, a slightly thicker EVA foam painted blood red!), and little Entity claws coming out of it, made out of moldable foam (or polymer clay with wire armature if small)!

Whatever you decide, I know it'll be an absolutely wonderful day!

Thank you thank you thank you! Some really great ideas here that I can incorporate too! I forgot how nifty the blood points look.

Dang, brain is now bursting with ideas. Thank you again everyone, for both the congrats and suggestions! Much love to everyone here!

I am not good with decoration, or fashion for that matter, but I just want to say congratulations!

True love is, most certainly, a beautiful treasure!
