Part 9: How would you feel about IT in DBD?
One of my friends most wanted chapter. I don't know if you can call the movie classic but I would definetely call the book classic. Despite not being "classic" IT is still pretty popular among people. Also I promised by friend I would do IT after I did cthulhu.

🟩Sure I'd like it
I've not read the book nor seen the movies all the way through. I want it because my friend wants it.

🟨I'm indfiferent on this matter
A classic for me would be the book and the 1990 version, I think that the old version of Pennywise I would like to see and it would be quite nestable than the current one, but Sthephen King is well reserved with his licenses and that is why he wins the hatred of many in not being able to get it, just like Carrie some want. But having him here is already obvious to me, I say it since we have a dwarf in DbD and perhaps it is the indication of seeing Chucky and Nemesis, that many said that he would be powerful but he is Tier-B.
A powerful character to enter the Realm Entity needs to be nerfed and for a weak character, give him a buff or a special ability. I imagine Pennywise having trap balloons, teleporting like Freddy, creating illusions of his own of madness or outright fear.

🟦YES I WANT IT
YES! PENNYWISE THE DANCING CLOWN.

🟨I'm indfiferent on this matter
I'm mainly indifferent either way I am mainly just curious how that would even work given that penny wise's real form is ALSO an emotion eating spider eldritch godlike being.

I don't understand how he would work since IT is basically a god. Also I personally think that just about all it's media is bad.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isnt Pyramid Head a "god" too?

Now, if the King's creation will ever come to Dead by Daylight, I would rather prefer the Overlook Hotel and Jack Torrance, as I love Shining (both book and movie adaptation) much more than IT. BUT, I would not be against it whatsoever. Pennywise is probably the most iconic fictional clown, aside from maybe the Joker and the story itself is pretty popular even nowadays, thanks to recent movies, so a lot of people gonna be stoked for sure. Even better if killer's power turns out to be super-fun and perks turn out to be strong and/or interesting.

🟧I don't like it but its whatever
If you wanna REALLY get technical, he’s the manifestation of one man’s guilt. And then he was popular so they kept sticking him in other games/movies.

The only killer in current roster, who is close to being a "god" is Freddy Krueger. He is basically a god in his world of nightmares, where he can be anyone and do anything. Still, in the Entity's Realm, Freddy becomes merely a puppet of the Entity and loses most of his strength. As for Pyramid Head, he's simply a "guard" of sorts, he isn't human, but isn't "in charge" of anything in Silent Hill either. He is just a punisher, an executioner, a humanoid monster created from the sense of guilt and remorse. Pennywise's true form (IT), on the other hand, is a very sentient being, which came from the Macroverse and lived for the billions of years, feeding of people and their emotions (similar to the Entity herself), so it's gonna be tricky to adequately add him indeed.

Feel free to correct me if I butcher Silent Hill lore, but I'm pretty sure Pyramid Head is just the same as any other monster in Silent Hill, a manifestation of whatever aspect of those inside with the explicit purpose of tormenting them.

Considering 3 people corrected me, I'd presume I was in the wrong, which does make me ponder the same question as you relating to if he'd fit or not.

I accidentally clicked on "🟧I don't like it but its whatever", when I meant to click on "🟨I'm indifferent on this matter", so note that when I speak.
I know little to nothing about IT because I've never been interested in it so I never bothered. From what I hear it's pretty good but I'm focused on other things.
On one hand it'd be our first Book license which is cool, but if we could have a license based on books I'd rather have Goosebumps just because I can see the map being AMAZING (imagine if it was the Wii Game Goosebumps HorrorLand, man that was certainly... a game? Idk I don't remember much of it, all I remember was the opening cutscene).
Either way I got my Stranger Things, Left 4 Dead, and Resident Evil licenses so I really don't care who it is next.

I would be okay with it, especially the (new) movie variation of IT as that seems weaker than the book version and would make more sense.
i am imagining part of the power being something similar to PHs cages, but the survs get hooked onto ballons. And the sewers as the map would be interesting.

🟦YES I WANT IT
Yeah, a Shining Chapter with the Overlook Hotel and an entity-enhanced Jack would be the main thing that I would ask for.

🟦YES I WANT IT
I'd want It if done right. She deserves proper treatment. That would mean an expansive, and I mean RE size, Sewer map/maze. The power would have to be shapeshifting, most likely into other Killers as the need arises. With the default form being the Clown. And perhaps the big triggered ability being the monstrous spider-like entity.
