Thanks for the notice behavior

I'm talking about the notice that you are looking into the performance and fps issues

We believe the issues is how every line of code is loaded on the killers side this would explain the freezes when killers do certain actions

It doesn't explain how surivors are affected by it like going nowhere with dh. This I have no idea why unless they are related and I'm not seeing it

That's about all I know

Eh, at least it means they noticed. My hopes for timely fixes aren't exactly thriving, but it's better than the "Problem? What problem? I don't see a problem." school of community management.

The relationship between us as players and the dbd devs feels akin to an abusive relationship. They release an update that breaks the game in one way (or more) or another, we get mad and want to quit playing and they say "We'll fix it. Sorry about this. Won't happen again" and then they do it again afterwards and the cycle just doesn't seem to end.

Edit: also, this is not meant as a jab at the devs, I don't mean bad, this is just a connection I've made.

I hope they do for your sake (I managed to get a Series X so these issues don't affect me personally) that BHVR is going to actually open their eyes to this stuff with Resident Evil in theory potentially injecting a LOT of new blood into the game. But all these new players are not going to stick around if they can't get the damn game to work.

I'm just not gonna hold my breath that BHVR is going to actually do anything. They talk the talk but never seem to actually walk the walk.

I mean the real question should be how could they not notice before it went live?

60 seconds in a match on any last gen console would have been plenty to show how broken it is atm.

After the last few times why are patches still not tested on consoles before release?

Just 1 person in a room with an old PS4 and 5 minutes of time could not have missed problems of this magnitude, so I guess I have to wonder if they know how bad it is when they release it anyway because rather us have a broken game for days\weeks\months\years than delay the release until its actually polished and ready.

Either way - Not testing patches on the format you are releasing them on, or releasing it anyway despite knowing; it really sucks and keeps happening.

Hell I'll buy the company an old console for next to nothing and ship it so they literally just have to sit someone down to play for a minute or 2, just please no more :'P

    This.

    Exactly this.

Everytime they mess things up, sure it is to expected that there is a possibility for bugs.

But they keep creating new as well as old bugs in new patches.

This has mainly to do with the fact they refuse to do QOL.

Sure they say they are able to push out new content and do QOL at the same time.

But i wonder what it need to take before they get their heads out of their butt's and realise they are not capable of doing that.

If they dedicate 1 chapter to a QOL than they will set themselves up for a better future for the game and a lot less bugs with new chapters.

But their ignorance will prevent them from seeing it and doing it

At this point I'm tempted they just don't care about anything except for money and are trying hard to disguise it with 300k bloodpoint apologies and "we've notice the issue, we'll take care of it" statements. I'd like for them to stop saying and start doing.

The only thing they will do is trying to get the game to pre-update state.

    That's all

They still don't care about optimization

For the record, you're absolutely right and I'm not contesting any of this - just that with the kinds of issues that consistently come out with every update, balance-wise and performance-wise, I already didn't have much faith in the amount of playtesting that goes on. Sometimes it feels like the PTB is the only actual playtesting they do, and surprise surprise, that's all PC.
