Why don't we have original Nemesis?
Do you think it was too expensive or does Capcom want the remake Nemesis to be the face of Resident Evil, when you think of Resident Evil. They own the franchise so ,they very well can do what they please with the imagine,so why do we have Remake Nemesis?

Because he was probably easiest to copy/paste over since RE3 remake isn’t that old.
They HAVE to be working on a classic skin though for Nemesis. There’s not much cosmetics they could do for him from the source material. I’m just hoping we get the classic skin before any “bhvr original” cosmetics…

ultimately, capcom decides what goes into the game or not.
bhvr could create the coolest classical skin nemesis, or a mr. X skin...anything really... if capcom says no, it won't be added.

So you think that their just using Re3make as just a base cosmetic, because original Nemesis is harder to design? Also original Nemesis would work completely different. He literally has the ability to sprint and kill you when you're life is low
Why would Capcom choose this Nemesis to add to the game? ,if this would be the destination and home for iconic legends, even they know that. The also received a bunch of backlash for the character himself.I also feel like they should have declined if Capcom wasn't willing to give them original Nemesis.

It was too pixelated.

Original Nemesis came out on the PS1, in the cutscenes he's at least decent looking but in game he's literally a giant ball of pixels compared to today.
I prefer Nemesis original design personally (why does the remake look like he's covered in trash bags?) but as others have said it's got to be easier to port his design over from the remake at least initially.
I'm guessing they may do a Mr. X or original Nemesis skin the same way they did the Claire and Chris Redfield cosmetics for Jill and Leon.
2 -
If they had declined it for that reason the backlash would have been massive.
The design is fine, and they can bring an OG version later on, also it would have been weird to bring OG Nemesis while Lean and Jill (also adding Claire and sorta Chris) having their Remake designs.
Btw how does OG Nemesis work differently? both version would run and slam you to the ground
Besides the backlash for RE3 Remake had more to do with the game's poor reception rather than Nemesis design, which a lot of people actually liked.

I don't understand that remake design of him, he looks like he's a giant homeless person covered in trash bags. At least original Nemesis had a badass trench coat.
4 -
Ok that makes sense,I was so confused as to why this version was added thank you for that explanation

No people we're disappointed in his design overall and the second form he took in the remake, also the way the city was condensed down and cutting the iconic clocktower
He literally has the ability to sprint and kill you when you're life is low
Also showing up with the rocket launcher in different sections of the game

He's a prototype, the reason he doesnt have normal clothes its cause of that, thats the design behind it, his "clothes" is mostly just something made on a rush by Umbrella to send him on the mission, unlike the original who had clothes designed for it.
It really achieves that feel, that he is a prototype weapon.

The RE chapter was primarily based on the RE2/RE3 remakes, hence why we have these depictions of Leon, Jill, Claire, and Nemesis (Chris hasn't appeared in a modern RE remake yet, so his model seems to be a hybrid between his RE1 and RE5 appearances).
R3make Nemesis was designed in the way he was to better fit RE3 into the overall RE timeline (his NE-a parasite is apparently related to or derived from RE4's Las Plagas parasite, so they made it have more elements of that with the tentacle and the infected zombies). His "trash bag" outfit is actually a bunch of body bags, though I've never found any real reason why they went with this particular outfit swap instead of his original coat. Maybe it was to make him more visually distinct from Mr. X?
That said, it'd definitely be cool if Capcom would give BHVR the opportunity to create a modernized rendition of Nemesis's original appearance. I stumbled across this picture of what a modernized version of OG Nemesis could have looked like and it'd be a pretty awesome skin to have in the game.

I already said the game was poorly received, idk why you keep hammering down like im defending it.
And Nemesis Remake Design did have people that liked it and some that dont, but it wasnt one sided.

I mentioned the reason, his design was made with the idea that he was a prototype, so he didnt had clothes designed for him, what he wears is mostly made on a rush by Umbrella.

pfff... behaviour denying resident evil?
c'mon... that's like a local soda manufacturer denying cross promotion with coke...
4 -
They also design his wrappings they're bulletproof butI,know what you mean that that's because he's a prototype. They went though a hell of alot of trouble to design those aspects
Lmao I know right when Resident Evil calls you just gotta answer
Hopefully though they'll get the classic skin and make him more leaner the new Nemesis is a chunky boi

Yeah the concept art shows how many designs they went trough, his clothes are likely made from the same thing has Mr. X.
Well Nemesis is freaking MASSIVE in the Remake version.
0 -
Well, you never know. They could release a PS1 RE3 Nemesis outfit.
Leon got his RE4 outfit which was never available in RE2 remake.
0 -
I mean why would he get that?, RE4 happens after RE2 after all.
1 -
It's pretty insane at how large the character was in the remake really makes you feel like he's a monster,I saw the concept art also, some of the renditions of the clothes we're pretty cool, the faces we're kinda meh I guess that was the best design at the time

Hopefully but I'm not going to hold my breath

TBH i have always found all classic nemesis "updates" on other RE games to look weird, the original look worked because of the washed up low quality FMV style from the original RE3, but everytime they have updated that original version he ends up looking super silly, mainly because they cant pull off a high res version of his skin, the original nemesis had a rotten look on his skin, almost like dirt while updates have gloss him over too much , too shiny and ends up losing that decaying feel.

"Copying and pasting" doesn't really work the way that many people seem to think it does. These character models are done at different times, by different teams, to fit different parameters, built on different skeletons, to play in different engines, performing different actions, having different animations, and using different code. If copying and pasting were that easy we'd have insta-ports of pretty much every game on every system and they'd be completely identical.

The original is literally the best version of Nemesis there's no denying that, weather that was the development teams lack of skill from making it look to weird then it's there fault.Mr X doesn't look like his og self but he still was remodeled in the same fashion of the classic version,if it's a better look is totally fandom

I don't think these models would have been to hard to port over for them there's something else
0 -
I think he looks his best in the movie...
don't @ me...
1 -
Tell that to Bill’s original game model. BHVR said they used the same in-game model from Left4Dead and ported it over.
Yes, they obviously made some tweaks for it to fit DBD but it’s definitely a lot less work than starting from scratch.

You want a 16bit pixelated mess?
0 -
Yeah thats totally a fair point - Jill could never have gotten her RE3 outfit in RE1 remake because RE3 happens after RE1 after all.. oh wait........ . . .
0 -
We still want a classic skin,I'm sure it can be modernized.
0 -
Well I,did read this somewhere. Capcom also changed the look because they wanted to display Nemesis humanity.

Look at MvCI Nemesis.
1 -
I dont know but this new nemesis stinks
0 -
Can you elaborate
How does he stink ? This is such a puzzling statement.
Is it the remake version?
Is it his power?
0 -
I think its cause he buffed up and ripped the French coat after they put it on him.
0 -
I don't doubt that, but that doesn't mean that assets from one game can just be copied and pasted into other games without work, and sometimes the amount of work required isn't feasible. If it were, all the RE characters would just be direct ports. In fact BHVR and Capcom likely would have designed the character models to be totally interchangeable between games from the start. They didn't, and there's probably a number of technical reasons for that.

This is Nemesis as he appears in Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite. This is the peak of a non-pixelated, modern take on original Nemesis. As opposed to the RE3 Remake look, myself and others prefer his original look.
1 -
Well yeah that's what I've been trying to tell that guy, they could have just had the port and updated it.If Bhvr does anything right it's detail in the characters they make.
MVC1 cameout in 2017 if I'm not mistaken,so they have freedom of control over the property. That was the last time og Nemesis made a debut. Then remake ,resistance and now reverse, along with a bunch of merchandise has this Nemesis specifically and now DBD.I just don't know why they would continue with this version if they know people hate it.
DBD could have been a fresh start for the 1999 Nemesis.Reintroducing newer fans and older fans back to the nightmare he was.He look's like a meme with the big teeth crunch together who ever approved that version is clearly a troll at Capcom

Why not? Cosmetics aren't canon anyway
