BHVR, just a curious question...
Now I'm starting to see a serious pattern here, and this leads to my question.
Why do you keep on making killers that just completely ignore pallets?
First we had Spirit, then Legion, then Plague, Deathslinger, Pyramid Head, Trickster, and now Nemesis. I didn't put Huntress on this list because she's a fairly old killer, and because I also think she's one of the most balanced killers in dbd, (maybe besides her awful hatchet hitboxes at times) but, she's very well balanced.
Each killer's specific reasoning as to why they ignore pallets:
- Spirit: Players are able to fake her phasing ability by simply not moving. Which gives players absolutely no clue as to if they're actually phasing or not.
- Legion: His power allows him to vault over pallets.
- Plague: Her Vile Purge can hit you across the pallet.
- Deathslinger: Yes, you can throw down pallets to avoid getting hit, but depending on the tile you are running him on, he can easily hook you through the pallet, and walk around the tile depending on how wide it is, and hit you. He's also another killer that you should most likely just pre-throw the pallet with or else you'll just get hooked, regardless.
- Pyramid head: He can use his punishment of the damned ability to hit you across the pallet.
- Trickster: Pallets don't matter with this guy, you can still get hit with a knife over it, so you're better off not wasting a pallet.
- Nemesis: His Tentacle can hit you across the pallet.
Now yes, some pallets can be safer than others, but c'mon, a majority of the pallets you ever use against these killers are unsafe 90% of the time due to their obnoxious powers.
To me it just seems like BHVR is running out of ideas, there's just too many similar killers that have similar powers in the game, and it's starting to become very noticeable that there's a lack of originality in these new killers.
