Why would anyone ever play Nemesis over Pyramind head, ever
I’ve been playing nemesis for about a week straight through all these bugs and lag and I can safely say he’s just a worse Pyramid head and a slightly better clown. He and clown suffer from the exact same problem, decent chase potential at the cost of horrendous map control. His zombies don’t make up for this at all as they can easily be rock stunned of snagged on random Geomentry; basically the zombie ai is bad and doesn’t really add much to nemesis. You will get a zombie being useful once a trial Maybe. Nemesis’s power is honestly just pyramid heads power but you have to build it up to be useful and it can’t hit through walls. Breaking pallets doesn’t help as pyramind can just hit through a wall. This is honestly a pathetic excuse for a Resident Evil chapter and I’m throughly disappointed in BHVR. This is the third chapter in a row that’s been disagreeing; a whole god damn year of basically no good content. You would think they would give half a ######### for what has to be one of their biggest chapters yet, but nooooooo. I’m sick of this #########, please get your act together BHVR.

I can guarantee you that if they don’t make Nemesis worth playing soon, you will never see another Nemesis player seriously for years. Which would honestly be super disappointing and depressing for a Resident Evil fan like me

Your avatar betrays your bias. :)
In all seriousness I agree, Nemesis basically seems like an alternate Pyramid Head (and / or some other killers, as some have pointed out). I understand that there can only be so many practical killer powers and abilities but he's just not the character that I was expecting. I didn't think it would be about tentacle whipping, I figured that it would be about sheer brute force. Granted I'm not the developer, I didn't think about how this would be integrated.
But eh, Pyramid Head is far cooler a character than Nemesis ever was anyway.

I unironically find him more enjoyable to play than Pyramid Head (who is already a pretty enjoyable killer atm). He may be weaker but his kit is a lot more interesting. Solid B tier killer. Give him time.
3 -
Because his punch is way cooler than that stupid blade of PH.
3 -
Because stomp stomp stomp stomp

Because Nemesis is way more fun, has better built-in info and acts as a short-range Deathslinger with a much quicker cooldown than any other ranged killer.

I'm floored by the fact that you get a speed boost from being infected. Unbelievable.

I do love (LOVE) the beautiful electric blue splatter that comes with being infected by Nemesis or the zombies.

Personally, I find Nemesis more fun and easier than Pyramid Head. Also, I don't care that the zombies are weak. Only because I think people want to be able to rely on the zombies to do the job for them and that's not what they should be. Sure they should get a hit in more than once every five matches, but I don't think they should be something to rely on. People should rely on their skills and ability as a player.

Can we all respect the fact that Capcom would have had a say in what Nemesis’ powers would have been?
There’s very little wiggle room for what they COULD have done with Nemesis. What else was there is explore? Give him a rocket launcher? Just another Huntress then huh...

A love of the character, and that's it. Nemesis is worse than Pyramid head in pretty much every way - everything he does is guaranteed to waste time AND he gives survivors that +1 sprint burst if they're uninfected. Once again, this is a prime example of BVHR not understanding their game and why this is such a big deal.

There is some evidence that his power may have been different in earlier development. The daily ritual for Nemesis is leveling to Tier 3 Mutation 4 times. That takes 4 games minimum, which means they may have intended for some kind of bigger power in tier 3 a la Myers.
3 -
Or just that it resets, and there were access to way more Vaccines?

Because he's THE MOTHERFUCKING NEMESIS.
Also smacking people with the tentacle is really fun. The cooldown seems really fast in tier 3.

I don't know why but Nemesis is the most fun I've had as killer in ages. I don't even mind losing as long as I can slap people with my tentacle and straight up punch them in the face.

Being able to break pallets from range is pretty nice too. It definitely gives him a ton of zoning potential.
I like that you can either use the zombies as tracking/support or like power ups depending on the addons. With the ink ribbon + serotonin injector the zombies were respawned before the undetectable even ran out.

but he has zombies

I was a Pyramid Head main since he launched, was with him and no lifed him until now.
The reason why? Pyramid Head is absolutely infuriating to play. The amount of times I've seen people standing in my attack and not getting hit because of the servers is more than I can count and it's infuriating. Nemesis doesn't have that problem from what I can tell. Hence why I switched.

Because they have more fun playing him?
Like, why would anyone play any Killer except for Spirit or Nurse?
4 -
Stupidity, of which we're all guilty.
0 -
Because Nemesis is more fun than PH. I played both them so much. Nemesis is my fav.
And maybe that is because i played all RE games but not any Silent Hill game.

Being a RE fanboy
Daily Ritual
And that's everything i can think.
I Also think Nemesis is a weaker Pyramid
Pyramid don't need LoS to use the power
Nemesis can't even hit above cars and high boxes
Pyramid can hit multiple targets
Nemesis can't and sometimes getting screwed by his own zombies
Pyramid Torment is very Hard to cure.
Nemesis Infection is Super Easy to cure.
Pyramid always have a extremely long range and nice hitbox
Nemesis need level up the tentacle, and the hitbox is smaller than Deathslinger shots.
Imagine if Pyramid first hit just add Torment...
That is what Nemesis does.
Nemesis should be able to hit multiple targets.
Nemesis should be able to do 180º affecting everything inside.
Nemsis don't should give speed boost on infecting hits.
And then, Nemesis will be fixed.

Because of those sweet tentacle sounds

aesthetic reasons, also ph has boring add ons besides the range ones
0 -
I mean, most players will play what makes more fun for them.
Like, I play M1-Killers a lot. If I want to win, I just play Spirit with Stridor and Slowdown-Perks, not the most skillful thing to do, but I will win almost every game.
So even if people say that PH is stronger than Nemesis, players might just enjoy Nemesis more. Like, I think he is fun to play.

There isn't beyond aesthetics or being a fan of the character. Everything aside from pallet breaking phead does better, and with greater efficiency. Hell his cages and torment allow you to bypass certain perks. I love RE but he is just a discount version with some aspects of plague thrown in for good measure.

I'll play him more simply because Pyramid heads power is incredibly boring and doesn't suit him at all. People only played PP to override DS. And DS is dead now. I've seen 2 Pyramids since the DS nerf.

Im shocked capcom arent annoyed, their killer is a worse version of their big rival horror franchise killer.
0 -
Actually Pyramid's cooldown is very slightly faster, Punishment is 2.25 and Tentacle Strike is 2.5
It's not much but I mean, maybe that quarter second could be what turns a chase around, ya never know
0 -
True, but POTD moves too slowly to be effective against good survivors without animation lock, so I honestly barely consider him a ranged killer.
0 -
Also true, but tbf there's plenty of situations where punishment can get you hits outside of animation locks even against more seasoned players
Choke points are an obvious one but my favourite ones to hit are when you analyse the survivor to see whether they double back after rounding corners to avoid punishment through the wall, attacking at the corner and watching them walk right back into it
It doesn't work all the time obviously, but that's why I enjoy Pyramid Head so much, playing him ambitiously and unpredictably and watching unexpected plays working out is one of the most gratifying things in the game for me, Nemesis can't do things like that and unfortunately, that really sinks his fun factor for me
