This is a problem
So I was going to post this after it happened, but I've been busy responding to others on here. So about half an hour ago, I was playing Nurse. I didn't miss a single blink. Not one(I'm proud of this 😂)
But guess how many kills I got? Two. The match lasted maybe 5 minutes, and I got ten hooks in that time. I still only get two kills.
So tell me. How is it fair that survivors doing gens quickly can nearly beat a Nurse playing perfectly? And it's not that I'm salty about not getting a 4k, I was just thinking:
If they got two people out against a Nurse that was playing perfectly, then they would definitely get at least 3 out with any other killer.
This needs fixing. It takes absolutely no skill to do this when it's the most powerful thing in the game.

Well did you run any regression perks or actually use them effectively?

Ruin+Pop. Didn't matter though, since Ruin was gone within 30 seconds, and it was Mother's Dwelling without a three gen, so I couldn't really get value out of Pop.
5 -
To be fair, that's a 10 hook game with 2 deaths, and considering a 12 hook game is a 4k I think it's pretty impressive. You got a bad totem spawn and no 3-gen on MD, I wouldn't take it to heart.
In fact, I'd be pretty proud of the game.

Well I guess it's a similar problem when I go against a Stridor Spirit on Wrecker's Yard with ass teammates and get my balls rocked. It happens all the time but I don't think they need to drop everything, change all the maps, the gen times, and the killers just for situations like that.
3 -
It’s because survivors never have to learn any new skills.
2 -
I am proud of it, but it's also a huge problem. Any other killer would get maybe 5 hooks.

But, like, we've been complaining about the size of Mother's Dwelling for ages, and the one time they touch it up they make tile spacing worse, don't fix the god window spawns, add in C-walls, and don't shrink the map. They made it even more survivor friendly lol, so clearly don't see the issue despite everyone complaining about it.
3 -
We all know Stridor Spirit needs changes. However, so does this. Whataboutism doesn't really mean anything here, especially with that example. If every match was like mine, Stridor Spirit and Nurse would be the ONLY killers that could compete, while it's still possible to beat a Stridor Spirit through genrush like this, and any Nurse that played less than perfect as well.
1 -
You are right! Genrush is stopping all killer. You can play perfect, without mistake but if they focus to gens, you will lose. That is ridicilous.

It's not even just MD. Although this map is the worst possible one to get against a team like that, they could still do that on any other map. And it wouldn't be beatable by any other killer. Remember, I didn't 4k as a PERFECT Nurse. The map wouldn't matter to any other killer. They would lose.

That's what I'm saying, I'm not "whatabouting" I'm saying that the same issue goes for both sides and it's extremely frustrating for survivor and killer.
3 -
10hooks on mothers dwelling is a win in my books. But I know what you mean, any M1 killer would get ######### on in there
0 -
It is frustrating for both sides, but discarding the validity of this issue because of that is the textbook definition of whataboutism.
0 -
Literally any other killer would. Not just M1 killers, but also killers like Oni, Huntress, etc.
0 -
I never discarded the validity of the issue lol I'm just giving another perspective and how this doesn't need to be changed immediately because there are a million other issues that lots of other people would like to be changed immediately too.
3 -
I do feel like this is a much more pressing issue. Spirit in herself is rare to go against, while literally any team can do this. They didn't even have gen perks.
The fact that if survivors really wanted to, they could make games unwinnable for any killer, is bullshit. You can win against everything else, but not this.
1 -
This is just where our experiences differ. When I play killer I almost never get death squads like that, and even the statistics show that. Solo Q is by far the most common and it's why killers have 60 - 75% kill rate. When I'm survivor some nights I get Pyramid Heads, Deathslingers, Spirits, and Nurses all with ruin + undying. What you're describing is definitely a problem but I feel lowering the kill rate in the average game is more of a pressing issue just based off of the statistics and my personal experience with killer and survivor.
3 -
The kill rate is high from bad survivors. It doesn't mean anything.
EDIT: To address more of this comment, it's not about the rarity. It's the fact that it's possible in the first place.

Just because you hit every blink doesn’t mean you were using your blinks effectively. But by all means that sounds like a good match none the less.
2 -
Considering the fact that I haven't lost as her in 3 years, I'd say I was.
I'm not dumb enough to do that.
0 -
Because you didn't have a perfect match. Never missing a blink doesn't mean you get 4k. It means you never missed a blink. How many times did they heal? How long did they avoid you? What perks did they have? What perks did you have? Which map? See where I'm going with this. I've played against nurses that missed half their blinks and still got a 4k.
3 -
Nah, because I don't have actual proof.
I usually go against really bad survivors, so I pretty much 4k effortlessly with most killers. Nurse is just overkill.
It's three separate issues why I lost. Bad RNG(My ruin was found before I saw anyone, and I got Mother's Dwelling), a too large map:(MD), and a complete genrush.
I did play perfectly, it's just that that combination denied me two kills. Any other killer wouldn't be able to get a single kill.
The survivors were honestly really bad. That's part of the reason why I never missed. They would either double back at every blink, or just hold W. Their average chase time was less than 15 seconds. They just had Well Make It and split up on gens on the biggest map in the game. Nothing even a perfect Nurse can do about that. Not one without any add-ons, anyways.

You did good, why is it such a problem? Yes you got unlucky but it isn’t your fault. Do you want the 4K handed to you?
1 -
"playing perfectly" is an extremely subjective thing, base it on fun? base it on effectiveness?
Camping is very effective, is it fun? do we admire players for that? do we call that playing perfectly?
not missing a single blink also is an odd thing to say, you "miss" blinks all the time as you simply use it to move around, and lets say you only went for a blink hit 2 times in the entire match, you "did not miss a single blink" but you also did not make much of an impact.
how about slugging, did you do that? because clearly there was a shortage of pressure to apply from your side.
and to end it all, 2 kills 2 escapes is the ideal outcome, its what the devs pray for.
2 -
You hate survivors that much, hah?
2 -
I see it as a skill that players know how to watch out from the nurse, this is not related to gen speed in my opinion.
If they managed to finish all 5 gens and get out, they did a good job, like you do.
If you had Hex perks, they were smart cleansing it in time.
It does not really matter if you killed them all or not, you are good at nurse and they are good too in this case.
The most important thing is if you had fun though.
2 -
From reading throughout the post a little, sounds like you had bad RNG.
Giant Map + Bad Totem Spawn.
If the odds were tipped more in your favor, then maybe, you would've gotten a 4k.
Then again, 10 hooks are very impressive.

2k's are what the devs and balance team are striving for.
Unfortunately a 2k is either an Entity Displeased ir Brutal Killer at Red Rank due to pip scaling so it is pretty depressing to be balanced around always deranking or "losing" and have it be considered the norm.

Unfortunately, I wasn't recording until 4 gens were done.
0 -
Honestly, the more time I spend on this forum, the more posts begin to sound like satire.
1 -
Camping isn't even close to effective.
As for not missing any blinks, I meant I never missed a hit I went for. I never misread a survivor.
0 -
That's not my issue here. IDGAF about getting a 4k. I'm just saying that any other killer, or an imperfect Nurse would lose with no kills.
0 -
I did have a lot of fun.
However, my point isn't about not getting the 4k. It's about how no other killer can deal with that.
0 -
So every killer should be nurse level?
3 -
It was probably more like 6-7 but it felt like 5.
I'm not exaggerating about chase time though. Those survivors sucked in chase.
My point here isn't about not getting a 4k. It's about how no other killer can beat that.
0 -
But then I'd have to post it to YT, which I don't have time for ATM, and since I'm trying to grow my channel, I don't want to post it.

Camping can easily lead to 4k's for players still willing to play, which is a lot, so if killing with minimal effort is your goal, then its very effective.
yeah you never missed a blink on a hit you were trying to get, that still does not say a lot, was the survivor running a marathon then it takes a lot of time before you are in positon to land a hit, hence you might only hit 10 times in a match, again you never missed, but you did not hit enough.
1 -
Camping only leads to 4ks if the entire team is rank 21s. My survivors are bad, but not that bad.
Nah. They never got enough distance to do that. Those guys were seriously BAD. They were cocky and didn't run until I was close, and they always went down in like 15 seconds.
0 -
Yes 100%. Same for how solo survivors should be at SWF level.
0 -
Ik. I just can't do that bc I access these forums on my phone, not PlayStation.
0 -
Huh?!
Do you read any of my other posts?
I wasn’t making a nasty comment. It’s a factual observation. From killer to killer there’s very little that changes for survivor gameplay. New powers don’t offer a lot in the way of challenging the survivors to learn a great deal of new skills.
Huntress, Blight, Deathslinger, Victor are all countered with the exact same survivor manoeuvre during a chase.
Nothing is factually wrong with the statement “survivors don’t have to learn any new skills”.
Killers do however. Although most base mechanics/skills transfer from killer to killer, the skill curve for a killer to learn the myriad of ways they can use a new power outweigh what survivors need to do/learn to counter it.
1 -
Even if solo survivors are swf level, they can’t beat a god tier nurse
1 -
That means nothing. A god Nurse is better than the survivors they go against, because to win as Nurse, you need to put skill your opponents.
0 -
Even the best survivors struggle against a good nurse though, there is no counterplay to her
0 -
Correction: There's no counterplay to her in a CHASE. You can still genrush a Nurse. You can still stealth a Nurse. A good team who knows what they're doing is going to genrush and stealth a Nurse.
2 -
Because you clearly didn't at perfectly. 5 minutes is an average match length for me, and I win about half of them. As Plague. I still win a lot against 3.30 gens.
What you went against was a normal SWF team and you should have played dirtier. That's just how it is. Does it suck? Yes, but that's just the game, and at this level it's unfortunately still balanced. Now, of you wanna talk about 3-minite trials, or 3.30 trials, I'm here for that too. Because I ######### hate all of it and its not fun to play even if it is still possible to win.

First of all, damn bro
Second of all, what about the flashbang. It's a new item & is different from firecrackers. It has a radius for example. Shouldn't a survivor learn how to use it? Essentially having something new to learn?
Killers do however. Although most base mechanics/skills transfer from killer to killer, the skill curve for a killer to learn the myriad of ways they can use a new power outweigh what survivors need to do/learn to counter it.
First of all, this is beyond obvious that someone needs to learn how to use a new killer's power.
Second of all, doesn't this apply to the survivor as well? Having to learn how to dodge the new killer's power?
Since you mentioned basic knowledge from killer to killer is transferred, and outside of this ^ the obvious part. Are there any other things a killer could learn from?
Can you elaborate on this?

Just move left or right at the correct moment.

SO YOU'RE TELLING ME, YOU KNOW WHEN DEATHSLINGER CAN FIRE?
I spat my water when I saw this answer.
3 -
I'm just saying that that isn't winnable for other killers. That shouldn't be a thing.
