Quick Question About This Game in 4K
Someone has helped me in the past but I need a straight answer with someone who knows or has heard of.
Since this game is available on Ultra settings, assuming fps is uncapped, can it handle 4K 144Hz gaming with the right CPU and Graphics Card?

You have to uncap FPS manually in the game files however if you have the strongest NASA computer you may be able to hit 4K 144fps. May. Because it is incredibly badly optimised and struggles at 1080p 60fps.
It's supported, I just think the optimisation means you'll never be able to reach it.

You need to uncap your FPS, this is honestly IMO rather mandatory.
Then again, it's a hit or miss.... due to how bad the optimization is. Some machines somehow are not effected by this, which is very rare.

conclusion, with an RTX3080 / RX6800Xt that is not held back by a cpu, you do about 100 fps on 4k on ultra.
So no, currently nothing really can go much higher, next gen should make it possible though.
(which is pretty rediculous given how the game looks, it looks fine but nothing that should be remotely challenging to run)

I have a 4K monitor aswell and what i had to do to run the game in Ultra and not get 20 fps was to force the game to run in fullscreen/1920x1080.
I didn't uncap my fps tho because i never felt the need to have more than 60 fps in a game that isn't CSGO ;)

You don't know what you're missing. Have u ever tried to uncap your frames tho?
Also, I feel sorry for you since u played with V-sync this whole time. If your skill checks had a delay, or anything else had a delay, that's the reason for it.

well i don't remember how it was done and i'm worried to change the files again and not be able to stay in true full screen ^^ i mean my fps never go under 50 and i'm also afraid that uncapping my fps will ask a lot more GPU since DBD is already eating a lot of it when it's capped ^^

Besides, I have done this in 2019 and I'm perfectly fine.
It's extremely easy to do as well.

Editing the UserGamerSettings.ini file won't get you banned, trust me.
Or the engine / Scalability file.
