Why is there still no training mode?
Just bought nemesis. Naturally got obliterated in my first game. Certainly will make newcomers wanna stay. Why is there no training mode where you can play with bots? Why are we forced to lose pips each time we buy a new killer? Mobile has a training mode and it's free for god's sake

If you're truely new, you can't lose pips. Training mode is ranks 20 - 16.
If not new you should have basic knowledge on how to play killer with the power being the learning curve.
Either way, once MMR becomes active every killer will have its own score. So you can pop baby seals heads with every new killer from then on.

To play devils advocate here what would you actually learn while playing against bots? Surely they wouldn’t be very well programmed and just run in a straight line and fall for every mindgame as they do on mobile?
Can’t imagine getting much use out of that tbh

Learning hitboxes for Nurse (and distances) and Huntress (and her arcs) for a consequence free match without worrying about loosing your rank. Learning Blight's collision and routing, and just practicing running the more complicated tiles as survivor and killer in general would be very beneficial for the community.

Practicing using the killers power, primarily timing, like when to release the whip. In reds, if you cant use the killers power you absolutely lose

Unless you go against someone with a brain, none of that matters. You won't find that with bots but will 20%-50% time in pub matches.

curving with billy, nurse's muscle memory, blight just in general, where you can dash with pig, running with bubba's chainsaw around obstacles...
lots of things can be learned from a practice mode

It actually does because a lot of what I talked about doesn't require survivors to figure out. In reality, being able to just roam around the map is kind of what you'd want, but a practice mode is nice as well. You don't need survivors to experiment with killer mechanics.

Also map and map RNG.
I remember when I was new that I had a hard time learning the different maps. I used internett for drawings and viewed a lot of videos. Would be great to try to run through them a few times to know where the tiles are.

You cant choose your Killer though. I think OP wants to train specifically as Nemesis.

You could practice in Kill Your Friends.

What do you mean? Getting stomped in pub matches while barely learning anything is the training mode! /s

But you need friends to play a custom match. TT_TT

So make some! We got a whole forum of people here. Im sure someone wants to play.

There is a training mode. It is called CUSTOM GAME. You get together with some of your friends, or you get together with some people you contact here or on Discord or whatever communication medium you prefer and play the games in a way where you can test things out, explore the maps, and see how things work. Technically you can create a custom game with just ONE other person for you to practice things. I'm sure, if you try you can get the people you need. Hit the books!

I know. which is why I said "probably gonna be expanded to include everything soon™"

A training mode like that to explore maps and practice killer and survivor mechanics would be really great, and it should be incredibly easy for BHVR to allow players to load into a custom offline match alone. Maybe they are afraid people will spend too much time there rather than queueing, otherwise I don't know why they never did this.

I would really like to support and would definitely use a Training Mode for Killers against bots...
One of the main reasons I don't play "other" Killers that I would like to try and enjoy playing as is because I am Rank 1 Killer and whenever I play a Killer that I'm not familiar with or used to I just get completely crushed by Red Rank Survivors that also enjoy T bagging and being Toxic at the end of the match making fun of how bad I played..
It's just not a pleasant experience, and to be honest, it is VERY Difficult to learn how to use a Killer and their Power Correctly when the Survivors are so good that you can't even get a single down.
Sometimes when I'm trying to test and learn a new Killer I literally only get 1-2 downs the entire match before its over, it's just not fun at all, really feels like diving in the deep end.
Training Mode would at least let me get my "bearings" as people like to say before I wanna go test a Killer in Red Ranks live vs other players.
