Are we ever going to be able to see the player's name that's playing the Killer?

You know, Devs. I'm getting pretty sick and tired of facing the same exact player who just loves to lag switch the second that they can't catch a Survivor... 3 TIMES in a row. I'm not trying to DC 3 games in a row because you know, it's against the rules and ban worthy, but with the way the Emblem system is, finding different Killers and Survivors at Purple/Red ranks is almost non-existent.

You guys gave us a reason to dodge a lobby if the ping wasn't up to snuff. Please, give us another reason to dodge a lobby if the player that's in the role of playing Killer is a known toxic Killer that loves to ruin the experience by lag switching, because it's their only saving grace to catch a Survivor.

And before anybody says it, yes I have reported this player on multiple occasions. They're still in the game. I'd just really like to make more than 8k BPs and not have to resort to DCing against this player's like this.

Survivors used to be able to see the Killers names.

Until they abused the ######### out of it and dodged all know “X Killer I don’t like to play against (Nurse mostly)” any Killer that camped, Tunneld, ect. This lead to MASSIVE wait times for both sides. Survivors whined it took forever to get games when the problems was they were dodging every Killer they got matched with and had the name for.. Killers had HUGE wait times cause you were dodged because you played a way Survivors didn’t like, a Killer they didn’t like, ect.

So really, blame your own Survivor pals. They kind of screwed the pooch for you.

Well damn, I play both sides, killer more, but lobbies have dried up for me. #JustRank4Killer problems

I agree, either that or killer shouldn't be able to see the players on the survivors side anymore either.

@DarXide If you don't want to face the same guy, just wait a minute before joining the lobby again. That is what I do as Killer if I don't want to face the same exact SWF team 7 times in a row.

Showing the killer name has both downsides and advantages.
Overall, it has more advantages tho, and since it's mostly not gameplay related (except by possibly being able to predict which killer is gonna get picked by the player's name), it could definitely be a thing.

You can check who the killer is, but I'm not going to spread it and I never use it cause I like a challenge.

@Runiver as two people have mentioned in this thread before me, showing the Killer name would just result in survivors dodging every single Killer they get, and lobby times would be absolutely atrocious as they were a long time ago. A much simpler idea is something we can already do, just wait a minute before rejoining, that way we do not get matched with the same people again.

For the record; that 'feature' wasn't removed because it was abused. It was an oversight that was never intended to work like that in the first place. And for some people, like myself, it never did work.

Not really sure why you should be able to see survivor names if that was the problem. It's a huge leap to presume that some players should be allowed to dodge certain players, while others can't.

You know, the same as creeping onto profiles and only accepting players with sub 50 hours to play against.

There should be an "Avoid Player" function nonetheless. Played against a pure-slugging billy three games late night and honestly it was a waste of time.

Yeah, it's not exactly fun to play against an actual sadistic person who gets gratification from ruining other players experiences e.g like you said, Killers that love to slug and won't hook until everybody is down or in my case, facing a Killer that loves to lag switch when they can't catch a Survivor.

The best part is that I had this guy blocked before, but I hadn't faced him in a long time.

Sorry but if there's a douchbag that makes your game a living hell as Killer, I think it's okay for the Killer to be able to see their names so that they can dodge that douche. If that douche is tired of being dodged, then he should clean up his act and play survivor as intended instead of being a dick.

Like it was said before, survivors were able to see killer name before, and they dodged any killer that didnt play nice and let them win.

The act to clean up would be to let surcicors win or never play.

Camper? dodged. tunneller? dodged. Play killer i dont like? Dodged. Use perk i dont like like NOED? Dodged. Dont respect 4%? Dodged.

Survivors would keep dodging, then complain when they couldnt find a game.

Just DC, you will be fine
Your DC rate has to exceed 70% or sth, you will never reach that if you only DC against laggswitcher (I faced 2 of them in my complete DBD life)

    🤔

FYI high rank killers have been complaining about the queue for a while now.. I don't think you need to look that far to figure out why.
