It's been about a year since the Hillbilly rework
Can we please scrap the 4.1 patch Hillbilly basekit changes? There are dozens of polls on this forum that show the majority of players would like for that to be reverted. Here are some quick examples:

This isn't a situation of people overreacting to a recent change - this was done almost a year ago now and it's been unpopular from the start. The Billy basekit changes are still pretty widely considered to be the worst balance decisions made in the game over the past year
Just reverting the basekit changes and fixing Billy's animations/FOV issues would probably go a long way towards bringing back a lot of Billy players to him, which is a net win for killer players (a fun, strong killer with a high skill ceiling available to play again) AND survivor players (arguably the most fun killer to go against, with a lot of counterplay). This would make the game more fun for everyone. Please give this some consideration, BHVR

Yes you are correct. Time continues to move forward

It's the single dumbest thing they've done balance-wise. So dumb on every level. But I think the stubbornness they've shown even after all the feedback is even worse than the change itself. You got it wrong. It was wildly unpopular. It's what happens when you balance around big data because you don't understand the mechanics of the game on a deep level. The issue was the add ons. Nothing more. If base kit Billy had too high of a kill rate, that's a player issue, not a kit issue. There was nothing broken mechanically about base kit Billy until you got into insta saw.

Behavior doesn't listen its their biggest downfall always has been always will be. The fact its been a year and people are still pointing out how dogwater the changes are.
It's really sad how Behavior nerfed a Killer into the dirt and still doesn't want to admit their mistake sounds very similar right COUGH OLD FREDDY.
I doubt Behavior will give Hillbilly any attention soon they're too busy living in their fantasy world meanwhile Hillbilly has the lowest playrate in the game and still continues to be under played and on top of that the only people still playing him like myself are frustrated with the FOV being dogwater and the Overheat mechanic limiting Hillbilly's true potential. I don't say this often but whoever's idea it was to add the Overheat mechanic should be removed from the position of their opinion being used for atleast a year as this was the worst call I think Behavior has ever made.

He needs his rev add-ons and not to make them stack. 2.5 seconds to try to rev and you get looped and windowed to death. That's his weakness. At least, make his base rev 1.5 seconds then he'd be great again. His overheat doesn't hurt him that much. It's his rev add-ons being taken away and his only rev add-on reduces his movement plus causes him to lose even more distance when he revs with it due to his speed penalty on top of his movement speed penalty due to the add-on. I've been playing him and trying to rev for almost 3 minutes gives survivors plenty of time to keep running, throwing pallets and hopping through windows. You can only use his chainsaw in the open, which is rare with the new maps linking pallets and windows together.

I miss old Billy. I mained him before the nerf but now I only play him if there’s a daily challenge for him. Every single one of his add-ons is terrible and he’s just no fun to play :(

we all want the overheat to be removed.
but that wont happen, because they centered their entire add on rework around that mechanic.
with things like these the Devs REALLY need to be more transparent.
a quick update on their plans with them asking us what we'd think about such an overheat mechanic could have prevented all of this.

It doesn't take much to understand that Overheat must go. It is only logical. It is the right thing to do.

It's sad because the community as a whole basically felt he was fine other than his instant saw addon.
They could have just removed or changed that alone but instead decided to introduce a mechanic no one asked for and made him worse.

It's not really a rework, it was just a pure nerf that mad ehim really unfun to play. I wish they would revert him to his OG overheat so that it looks like it's doing something but in reality is just preventing facecamping.

I miss when his addons weren't crap. Plus it feels like they messed with the numbers of his basekit too much.
I just want my boy to be feel good to play again :(

He could use better addons.

He is a very big example of favoritism. He hasn’t received a change but Blight has received a lot of changes and all the killers that got reworked kept there fun addons and stayed the same. Huntress wasn’t nerfed and the killers that need nerfs haven’t been touched since they came out or when they were last changed

Funnily enough I never play him but even before they nerfed him I always found him balanced by that fact that he was easy to loop, now that his chainsaw overheats he’s practically an m1 killer at small-medium loops. They should definitely consider buffing his chainsaw.
