Are consoles gonna miss out on the bloodpoints for the anniversary?
I was hoping to grind a ton of cakes for during the anniversary, but the studdering issue apparently has gotten worse and it's making me extremely anxious on the prospect of us just... essentially missing out.

Yes, the consoles are getting a bad break here. Yes, it is unfair to them. Yes, I think BHVR will address it. Yes, PC will likely benefit from these mistakes.

Grinding for BP and crowns with these performance issues is going to be a miserable experience for the console crowd. 😔

The state of consoles are like training weights. If BHVR should ever implement cross progression, there's going to be a huge reckoning of cracked console migrants.
I'll suffer, bide my time and collect my BP even if the game is unplayable because I crave repetition and self inflicted punishment.

Idk with a game like DBD that's all about timing of actions, if actions are making the game freeze for 1+ seconds it starts to border around the game not working.

that's my fear as well, it isn't fair for console players to have to endure the only moment where the grind is more bearable with constant freezes and lags

So did this update as of today actually break the game more than it was already for console? I'm a pc player but about a week ago I hopped on PS4 and it was just terrible

How does the game work when it literally lags and freezes constantly? PS4 here - it's worse now.

Agree 100%. I play on PS4 and I can't go 10 steps without lagging.😞😞

The exact thing happened during the last Halloween event m.

The game already screwed me as both survivor and killer due to the lag and freezing before this "patch" so the fact it's only gotten worse is just... Lovely. Just lovely. PC players get to enjoy the anniversary event meanwhile consoles are getting so epically screwed out of it... Ugh.
This is also my plan. Just login to receive the shards and maybe not touch the actual game until the performance runs... Better. I've already deranked from rank 3 back to rank 8 as I've just been incredibly unlucky in the game and getting hard tunneled / camped or teammates bringing the killer to me with me on death hook and they haven't been hooked; just a bunch of solo queue bs half the time honestly with a mixture of me playing bad + being unlucky to face plant right into the killer. I don't know if my pip system is broken but even if I escape and do bones, unhook, heal, take protection hits, the whole shebang I'm not pipping. The game has no issue DE pipping me though. My point to my gums excessively flapping: I doubt I'd even get to absorb the 500x BP, maybe just 10% so it's really not worth me playing anyways lol.

This is when I'm thankful I moved to pc a long time ago, you console players are always getting the low end (like that optimization that was promised 2 years ago).
Now an unplayable event, GGs bhvr, there are more players on console than on pc every day and now they are having issues just PLAYING the game, they did it this year.
Best of luck you console buds, hopefully they extend the event or something so you can at least get some grind in.

I'm on the orginal Xbox and I haven't crashed or had really any issues aside from some lag. I'm not sure why this is apparently only effecting some people.

Yeah, the last patch made the issues more apparent to me, but I guess we can stopped grind. It will just take longer.

PS4 here. I have never had lag issues till this recent patch. With 5.0.2 I have begun to have lag. It doesn't make the game unplayable but it is something annoying while chases/persecutions.

I'm just switching to cross play off and farming every match as killer. I can't play killer with this type of adversity. I'm getting games where I might get 2 or 3 hooks. So many missed swings that turn in to vanished survivors.
If you're on console these next couple of weeks, just farm the ######### out the games.

I lag a lot in Chase I'll be setting up a mind game and then all of a sudden I'm staring at a wall. Silver Lining I have only crashed one time during this horseshit and it was while using nemesis. I will just avoid using him during this event and do what I can to gather Cakes & Grind. Even with all the extracurricular I'm still performing quite well in my trials.

Performing badly is still performing. Even if the game was constantly 10fps and froze for 2 seconds every 5 that wouldn't stop you from getting bloodpoints it would just make it annoying.

The game constantly freezing certainly does stop me form earning BP.

I played a match as Pig, yesterday (well, it was yesterday for me, anyway). The amount of stuttering and frame drops I witnessed was just much more noticeable than before the patch. It was something like 4 or 5 times in a row, to have some stability and back to 4 or 5 drops again. Unbearable. PS4 Slim.

Are you talking about freezing or crashing because freezing doesn't stop you from earning bp
Even crashing to dashboard won't stop you unless it's literally every time you play a match
