How do you get the crowns?
Stupid question, I know. I have gotten several, escaped after getting them and I do not have them in my customization. I was not playing last year at this time and this is my first crown fun fare. Am I missing something? Seems like you get the crown in the game, you sparkle for the rest of the match, you escape and you're supposed to get it? I have done this with several survivors and dont have a crown that I can see.
I saw a post on twitter from DBD much earlier stating crowns were working to reload. I have reloaded several times.

As a Survivor, you will need to escape the match with the Crown to have it in your inventory. As a Killer, you will simply need to finish a public match. Hope this helps!
I just need to interact with it? Or do I need to drop what i am holding and get out with it like that?

i have an odd question too ....afterwards are you clicking on "customize" and clicking on the head pieces. That's where the crown is to equip whenever you want. just checking to be certain.

Also it depends on the character that you're playing, lisenced don't get crowns.

As a survivor, if you escape while "sparkling", you get the crown
As a killer, you just need to interact with it and finish the match
However, even if everyone is able to interact with a crown and sparkle, only original characters are able to actually unlock it for customization.
Maybe that is your problem?

yep, thats what i am doing. I found out this is only for DBD original characters. I have been using all non original characters. The crowns are working fine now that I played Dwight
