Sole Survivor and Object of Obsession

Hey all, so i'm currently looking through all survivor perks because i'm hopefully gonna get their "Adept" trophy some day. The most recent one I have looked at was Laurie Strode and I feel like it may be a challenge. My question is when Sole Survivor grows in power, does that make Object of Obsession more powerful as well? Will I be able to read the killers aura but him unable to read mine from certain distances?

In a sense, it does make OoO more powerful, because OoO provides a maximum range that the survivor and killer can see each other's auras. The normal minimum range depends on the terror radius. Sole Survivor provides a minimum range that the killer can see the survivor.

The wiki needs to be updated a bit, because on OoO's page, it states it's impossible to completely shroud yourself from the killer with Sole Survivor, while on SS's page, it states it is possible to completely shroud yourself.

At Tier 3, the maximum range for OoO is 72 meters if you are the obsession. At Tier 3, the minimum range for SS is 28 meters per fallen ally, which with 3 survivors dead, that's 84 meters. Based on values, SS is supposed to completely eliminate the risk of using OoO.

Plus, the recent mid-chapter patch now has Sole Survivor light up whenever the perk is actively blocking your aura from being seen by the Killer.

@CoolAKn Alright so in a sense the more people are dead the more i can stare at him. Wow I hear SS get a lot of crap for being useless but matched with OoO the killer would be LUCKY to find you. You pretty much know where he is at all times.

Yes, but OoO makes you the most vulnerable at the start of the match. SS doesn't kick in until one survivor dies. It should be noted, that even with OoO, the survivor can't see Freddy (unless they are in the Dream World) or Michael (as long as he's in Tier 1), but they can still see the survivor.

I know that the perk icon for Object of Obsession will still light up when looking at Freddy (if in range), even if you cannot see his aura, but I thought that EW1 Myers cannot see your aura because you cannot see his (Object of Obsession doesn't light up).

If the killer sees you with OoO he will probably go after you first even tunnel.
OoO gives survivors a lot of info
