Perk Sacrifice — New Mechanic

Survivors and Killers can burn Perks as if they were offerings, gaining the benefits of that perk for the game they are playing. To sacrifice a perk, the players must also expend a number of Plasma Crystals equal to the Perk’s rank. Players can repurchase perks using the Bloodweb as normal. Perks are visible to all players upon burning.

Plasma Crystals

A player can have a maximum of 10 Plasma Crystals at any one time. Players gain 1 Plasma Crystal for each Iridescent Emblem they gain in a ranked match.

Benefits

  • Promotes and rewards the completion of a match; as disconnecting does not grant Emblems.
  • Offers a competitive option for Offerings.
  • Allows the use of current mechanics, with the addition of a system adjustment and one new resource.
  • The continuous use of Bloodpoints after all perks have been obtained.

Implementation

A month-long event which grants PCs for Gold Emblems, BP multipliers in the Bloodweb, and increases the likelihood of perks appearing in the Bloodweb. The event also includes random daily events which can require one or many of the following:

  • Burning a number of perks
  • Gaining a number of PCs (Plasma Crystals)
  • Gaining levels in the Bloodweb.

Completing these daily events offer 1-3 PCs at most, and a usual number of BP.

Note.

I played DBD for quite a bit, bought a few DLCs, and played both Killer and Survivor. And while I hardly used offerings, I feel as if this can offer more variety to gameplay and usage to the ocean of perks available to players.
