XP Farming?

So, I started playing the rift a little late, and as it's coming to an end I was wonder what I can do to get the most XP out of every match. Do emblems matter to increase XP? I've heard of people finishing it super fast before, and just for background I'm on tier 36, is it possible to finish the rift at this tier?

    If you do all challenges, possible, but you will pretty much have to no life it.

    I finished it pretty quickly but I pretty much no lifed it for a while. I think you can do it.

    You get 1 rift shard thing per 500xp, and you get do just for how long you were in the trial.

    A lot of people just AFK in-game to farm rift shards, you also get most of the way there naturally by completing the rift challenges. I think I'm at tier 32 no, and 2 days ago I was around 20.

    Edit: to clarify, that's from rift challenges and generally screwing around in-game.
