Lobby Setup

When loading into the match and both players are in the pre-game lobby (survivor and killer), the killer and survivor will be shown to the other player. Both players select a killer first to play and then select a survivor to play. Both killer and survivor have 3 perk slots. The match begins whenever both players ready-up. A small map is chosen at random, i.e hawkins, dead dog saloon, coal tower, Rancid Abattoir, midwich, father campbell’s chapel.

In-Game Mechanics

Survivor and Killer both start on opposite sides of the map. When the killer is not in chase with the survivor their auras are shared with one another. All gens are blocked and an endgame collapse stopwatch starts as soon as chase is initiated. Dropped Pallets reset to the upright position in this mode after 60 seconds. When a killer is undetectable, the shared aura reading is disabled for both survivor and killer.

Winning and Losing

The goal of the match as killer is to make the opposing survivor score the least amount of chase time. The survivor’s goal is to initiate the chase and stay alive as long as possible. The game consists of two rounds on the same map. Both players take a turn as killer and survivor. Whichever survivor accumulates the most chase time wins. If the same amount of chase time is achieved by both survivors than the match is considered a draw.

Restrictions

Certain perks are banned from play during the match as they extend or shorten chase in a gimmicky-fashion. The perks include, exhaustion, hex, speed, obsession, and aura hiding perks. Speed perks are defined as perks with similar effects to “play with your food,” resilience, spine-chill, enduring and brutal strength. Both players cannot choose the same killer.
